I'm not going to say yes or no (never really spent time researching this subject).

What I DO know is how often tech gets exposed as real which has, at some point in time, been in a movie or TV show. When people do discover it all the sheeple say "Yeah yeah, you just saw that on TV, that's all".

I do know that this happens far too often to be a coincidence...
