Some "Strange" noises i hear sometimes in my city.

I don't know if i can classify this as paranormal, since i live in a city full of industry and a chemical factory.
But sometimes i listen to a noise that resembles like a Thunder or a Whip . It's similar to the noise Jet airplanes do when their flying nearby. Sometimes i listen to this noise +/- at night, or late afternoon, and it repeats in a sequence.

My first idea , and the most rational conclusion is, this may be the factories doing something, since my city has a big fame to have explosions in those factories , like, 2 times per year... But it is not the noise of an explosion, it sounds like a Whip in the sky.

I Am not speculating or making any assumption, im just reporting this because some people are reporting strange noises, and i noticed this .
