In the original movie there was no mention of anyone getting eternal life. Well not that I remember anyway. The queen is just losing her sparkle because she is aging. I think this is the same deal in this movie.

However they have added that somehow if the queen eats Snow Whites heart she will become immortal. This theme is becoming common in movies now.

I think disclosure is close. In the movie Pirates of the Caribbean, stranger tides. Mermaids tears gave eternal life. This was a clear reference to the tears from the pineal gland, God will wipe away all their tears.


Revelations 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Drinking from one cup gave life and the other took it away. This is because in the eyes of the public, this is how it is, the women who are collected are imprisoned and milked of their essence and the ones getting to drink the elixir as a reward, have no such lose of freedom.

In the movie Stardust, we got the reference of the Morning Star ... the Star that fell from heaven which gives eternal life and again the eating of the heart. Not that there is any eating of the heart, maybe it just seems a good way to symbolize this?
