Booming Artillary sounds reported before New Madrid quake of 1811

It's good to see a few more dogs on the same hunt I've smelled before, beware the sidetracking in your search for answers to the booms.

You guys have all the trails I followed, but I got burned out when the government begins removing data to sidetrack you. Let's address a few things:
USGS DOES CENSOR INFO.
In an above reply, the usgs didn't come forward to reveal the quakes until the community became enraged, this speaks volumes about Virginia, Oklahoma, Indiana and the many people who daily know they felt a quake.

If you watch this movie, you'll see a few things, first you'll see the actual border of the failed rift. They put the monitors heavy to one side to gather intel on the rift.

The waves come from the west and are clearly defined, the east side of the rift shows different flows of energy comparatively. Then you'll see the waves as they come from the opposite side traveling back into the nmsz and colliding with the western waves like in a pool of slosh.

Did you notice the first sensor that tripped in the first seconds of the video?, why in the heart of America ? Why not on the west coast?...

The rift is there, the two halves move different. Where is the data for the Virginia quake, the latest Tennessee quakes? You know they have the data recorded.

So much to say, just have to have time.

FYI, can confirm that noises have been heard on (at least) two separate days (mid-day to early afternoon) near Memphis, TN.

On both occasions, the 'boom' starts off light and seems distant. The noise continues to get louder over the course of two to three minutes and then ends.

Each finale has rattled the windows in a recently constructed, 'environmentally resilient' and tactically positioned home - I can only imagine what the neighbors have felt...

Anyway, about a week ago, while driving near Millington, TN, the other-half and I noticed that there was the (weak and elusive) smell of sulfur in the air.

Two days ago, driving near the same; we saw a very poindexter looking male (strikingly out of place 'round here) taking a water sample from a nearby stream.

I thought that I would post here since another individual questioned the merit of this thread due to there being no 'locals' chiming in.

Well, we are very local to the New Madrid fault and have definitely had our feathers ruffled. Will continue lurking about this thread and try to post more precise information (haven't been taking notes... yet)

Oh, and while us dogs are sniffing around, we might scramble the synapses and recall that quite a few natural springs ran muddy recently in the NMSZ and even local rangers never had a clue.

GLP ran a few threads on the springs, perhaps we should be checking local springs and well records for unusual levels ?

Oh, and alot of the earth cracking open is labeled as glacial rebound, but we just read the reports from unbiased learned individuals that it is the Farallon plate.

You see yet how they manipulate the info? .... First it's Farallon plate subduction and now it's glacial rebound... Laughable when you really look at it.

I am looking into water anomalies for one thing. In that historical writing there was documented people said the water was warm as well as smelling sulfur.
and not sure i mentioned this but it seems to me that the earth's crust was most likely fractured like a piece of china gets all crackly fractured? but doesn't break unless you are able to hit the one spot that makes the plate shatter.
I kinda think this is what the situation is like.

so people that live around and nearby, like the one from Tenn noticing water sampling, check out water table levels, well water, smells and odors, maybe wilting vegetation anything that would not be the norm but no one is really saying anything?

Virginia was reported online almost as soon as it was felt. I'm not sure where you were trying to go with that one. I was outside washing my car, felt a wave flow through my feet, and pulled up GLP to already find at least a dozen threads linking USGS.

All these unusual events [lights across the skies, explosions] and crazy theories [Upland Formation, ball lightning] are due to the fact that The New Madrid Earthquakes of 1811-12 were actually an impact event!

YES, as crazy as this may sound, the topography of the entire Mississippi Embayment is the result of a shockwave of a meteor coming from the dust tail of Comet C/1811 F1, made of mainly ice, sand, and smaller rocks, coming in at a low trajectory from the south and [like pushing a finger up on a tablecloth] impacting a frozen lake in Northern Mississippi, with the soil horizons being only gravel, sand, dirt, and on top of The Artesian Wells [water], greatly affecting the outcome.

On a satellite view, go to the top-right of Marshall County Ms. [Concord Church is on the northwestern crater rim], pan out and notice how all topography encircles the proposed crater site. This is also the reason that The Tennessee River flows back northward!
