It'll be better than nothing but if you want good night vision you'd have to be around the $2,500 - $3,000 range. That would be for Gen 3

Sorry cant identify the unit. I have owned a couple of Russian night vision scopes but nothing like this one. Its been made for the civilian market so no telling who produced it.
As long as you dont spend too much on it you should be ok, just remember its used. Are you buying it for yourself or your boyfreind ?
