A question for the Americans..

They are all, the U.S., the UK, Israel and even Iran, tied to the same strings held by the hands of the Puppeteers.

Israel is not our ally.

They have no strategic importance to the US, hold no binding treaties with the US and have not assisted us on the ground in any war.

Turkey however IS an ally of the United States, and you pay us for your purchases of military equipment manufactured by American workers in US factories, unlike Israel which is given equipment at a loss to the US.

No such thing as "closet ally" of the people. For the people, all 350,000,000 of us, everyone is our ally as long as they are good people. That includes Jewish people, Israelis, Iranian people, and Muslims. Myself I have close Jewish friends, and close Muslim friends, and I am a Christian. I would do just about anything for any of those friends if they asked. Give them money, food, watch their children, raise their children, give them a place to live.

As for the scum that hijacked our leadership positions in government, they can say what they want, and people can believe them if they wish, as long as they don't mind listening to repetitive liars.

Anyway, in terms of the question at hand, I do believe that Israel is, like the US, a puppet state. Plain and simple. All ruled by the same people when it comes down to it.

Argument of whether they are technically the closest ally or not aside, my opinion is that the Israeli-US allegiance in it's current form is mere sustenance of a status quo forged decades ago.

That status quo involves military and monetary handshakes in exchange for unilateral operation of similar political fronts in differing geographic and religious regions. Same politics; different methods/countries. Divide and conquer in it's most plain form.

Dissolving the alliance and status quo would be tantamount to the US abandoning their interests in the Middle East.

I am of the personal opinion that we ought not to have interests in the Middle East at this time due to a lack of interest/initiative in fixing our own problems. I am not a good little sheep that tries to tackle problems by glossing over the severity of them and applying band-aids today that will fall off tomorrow.

But I'm not your average American, and yes, that is a very real problem for the rest of the world.

Alliances should be solely for economic purposes IMO. No country has any business 'helping' any other country when it comes to issues of social, religious, or cultural nature.

Every country should be granted the freedom and opportunity to forge for itself, BY ITSELF, the type of country it wishes to be.

My friend most americans would give there shirt off their back for you.. However the elected officials of this country are foriegn to us and I feel that you "should not trust them" because as a citizen of the U.S.A we do not either.. Empower yourself and rely on no one..
