They see that humans kill each other over things like race and religion. If we can't coexist with each other, why would we coexist with them?

What kind of retarded hyper intelligent race would come down and go, "Hey, want to be friends?" It doesn't matter if they have tech or knowledge that could save our race. We are telling them we do not care or want to know by defining the rules of our engagement beyond the limitations of what can be equally offered.
