I've been doing Ag consulting for 28 years and have never seen a season close to this. I'm worried there could be excessive cycles of eggs hatching, in insects thats an exponential amount. 1 mite given an extra month of reproduction time can produce 50,000 offspring,thats 1 insect(although mites aren't true insects).Given that trees are in a stressed condition and root disorders, and vascular disease are at an all time high, any other related biotic stress can cause massive population die offs. I could go on for days, its gonna be intersting

Nin ,is it possible that the Gulf stream current which was stopped(now flowing again) by the BP oil spill and affects the weather is partially responsible for this also ???

The thing that concerns me is that we have had no rain or snow ( except an inch) and we are getting those really warm temps. here in N.England..
