Yep, because of Legos. My son plays it and I keep telling him that games had better graphics when I was a kid...go figure!

My son plays too. I don't mind the graphics so much, but the lag really pisses me off...

My son plays MINECRAFT too. He likes to build stuff then blow it up. I dont get it personally because its really blocky and all. Must be the creepers that blow up at contact or something. The game is a big hit to many out there though.

when does it come available for Xbox360?

Minecraft is legos on crack! minus all the fancy shiny colors.. but even then one can get a skin that makes the blocks look just like legos..

plus, it's a great creative output without having to spend/store junk for hobbies.


You can make castles, and traps, computers and circuitboards (that work!) I made a 4-digit combination lock "computer" using very analog logic gates/switches, 1/0 digital circuitry. I had NO idea what the hell was going on in my computer until I started playing minecraft, messing with circuits and found an opportunity to learn a ton of new stuff.

Gameplay > Graphics

Good point. My husband is very analytical and putting blocks in the air frustrates him. I think it's pretty cool. The creepers always get the kids all riled up in a fun way.

Minecraft is GOD!

Minecraft is the first of its kind. Every other game out there is a copy of some other game that came before it. Minecraft is totally new and different and amazing. Yeah the graphics are blocky but despite that I've climbed a hill and upon reaching the top I've looked upon mountains and valleys and oceans, all randomly generated and totally amazing

Because its fun, like games are meant to be.

Though really, Minecraft is more of a sandbox than an actual game even though they're adding more gamey elements to it. Still tons of fun though.

Yeah, it's all my son ever talks about...we've had to limit his daily computer use because he is completely addicted. Plus, he gets really mean when we make him log off so we installed a program that shuts the game off after his alotted time is over. Hate to say it, but I wish his friends had never introduced him to the game.

Castleminer and CastleminerZ are both rip off versions of it.
