Initial reports around the story only stated that he was a 28-year old criminal justice major and member of the Neighborhood Watch. Just getting wind of this, I asked my mom about it because she watches the news a lot. She said it was ridiculous that they haven't arrested him yet, no wonder people are upset, and that the son a a bitch (her words lol) belongs in prison. She said the young man had skittles in his hand, and not a gun. So I hope this jerk isn't glorified as anything less than what he is, a cold blooded killer. RIP Clayton

He told the cops to call him and he'd tell them where he was. What, he thought he'd get the kid and hold him for the cops, even though he'd been told to leave him alone? Then what, he killed the kid. Being charged with assault of a cop can mean something as trivial as the cop bumping up against the accused inadvertently, and thinking that it was the accused who bumped him. The reason it never went to trial was because any jury would have laughed it out of court. It can even be the cop maliciously deciding to inconvenience an innocent man with a perp walk and a night in jail for giving him a dirty look.
