Feds Buying Up All Surplus Ammo, Ordering Stores To Cease Sales?

Following a DHS order for 450 million rounds of .40 caliber shells a source says the Feds are buying up all military surplus ammo and ordering stores to cease sales.

Just days ago a military ammunition supplier announced that the Department of Homeland Security had entered a contract to purchase 450 million rounds of .40 Caliber ammunition, which is more than on bullet for every man, woman and child in the United States.

While the news is startling and one can only speculate on the reason Homeland security needs so much ammunition an even more alarming report has surfaced today.

According to an anonymous source the federal government is buying out all ammunition from military surplus stores and says vendors have told him they have been instructed to cease sales of ammunition to the public.

If they buy up the ammunition no one else will be able to resupply.

FINALLY! This is all over the Internet but it all comes back to this one guy who is anonymous who's says' "he called around..." I checked that site and it's got plenty of everything...on sale, too.

We are nowhere near a shortage like we had in 2009. I can get just about anything off the shelf right now.

In 2009 I would drive to stores on the days when they were unloading the delivery and wait to see what came off the truck. I was going out twice a week and often came home with nothing; the reason for the 2009 shortage was not the government but people buying mass amounts of ammo.

I even have real silver bullets because it was the only thing I could find, they weren’t cheap! But they were the only thing in stock in mid-2009.

Doom tard sheep are going to pay a dollar a round for 20 cent per round ammo and feel GOOD getting taken to the cleaners.

I checked your so called "clearance", and it is all sub-quality ammo at double the price. This is not disinformation. You would know that if you actualy bought ammo on a regular basis.

Also if you try to buy it, it is out of stock/currently unavailable.

I do, I tend to buy ammo every week. Sometimes twice a week.

I will not buy it online though, there are a number of reasons I will not do that. But all the local shops have ammo at a normal price.

There was a slow increase but people have to realize 4 years ago it cost around $20 bucks per pallet delivered, today were at well over $100 a pallet!

There is one other reason, and that is supply and demand. You have people like me waiting at stores on delivery day watching the truck get off loaded so I can buy the entire shipment of a specific type of ammo.
The store doesn’t like that! They want ammo on the shelf for when people come in to buy their guns. Hard to sell a gun when they don’t have the ammo in stock! So they up the prices a little here and a little there because they know we'll still buy the cases.
