You also do not know the circumstances surrounding the cop incident, especially in that part of Florida. If the cop chooses, any touch of any sort on a cop is an automatic charge, regardless of the intent.

Until the States Attorney takes it in front of the Grand Jury (which he has to have the evidence) all of these accusations, assumptions, and flat out Zimmerman-hate, without knowing all the facts, is sick.

This is still America, whether we recognize it or not, and he has the right of a trial and to be innocent until proven guilty. Oh, and don't go jumping on the "oh that poor boy had rights too," crap.. He could have simply answered the simple question.. no harm in that.

The way I see it, he had no business confronting the kid, especially since he was told not to.

As a neighborhood watcher, he abused his imaginary power. Sure, he had a permit to carry a gun. "Stand Your Ground" doesn't mean you can intimidate others like you have some type of authority, kill the kid, and pull the self defense card.

And if it turned out that the police had not done a *complete* investigation for any reason, wouldn't you expect that your family would go to the media in order to get support -- in order to make certain that a thorough investigation, completely above board, is accomplished?

Take all racial inferences out of this situation. Try not to view it emotionally. Just imagine yourself in those same circumstances. Imagine how your family would react to your sudden death.

I walk around my neighborhood when I want to. I don't expect to be watched by someone carrying a gun. I certainly don't expect to be followed. And if that did happen, I would confront the SOB -- or maybe just try to get away. I don't know. But damn it. This is supposed to be a free country where people can walk back from the neighborhood store with their can of Arizona Ice Tea in hand and expect to get home without being shot.

This is wrong. This is fishy. This is stupid. This is intollerable.

I want an investigation. I want justice for this family. I want the police and all wannabe police to be on notice that you just don't get to shoot people for walking home from the store and expect to get away with it.

That witness made the statement the night of the shooting. All those agencies that you listed know about him. The media chooses to ignore him. Those 2 ladies didn't see anything, they admit that and the 911 tapes back that up. They have only said they were certain that Trayvon was screaming. How can you be certain when you didnt actually see anything. The unedited tapes are avaliable at the Sanford Police Dept. Go listen to the unedited tapes and admit your decision was made by CNN.

This case definitely needs to be tried in court, at least for the families sake. I can see where things don't seem quite right from listening to the 911 tape. Imagine being the parent listening to the tape, knowing your son is innocent and has been killed. Zimmerman sounds like he already made it up in his mind that Treyvon was up to no good, which turned out to be wrong. On top of that he sounds like he called him a coon. It's sad to hear some people don't see that this isn't right, it isn't justice. You can't kill someone and claim self defense after all that had happened that night. I understand why some people see this as racist because it seems as if the police didn't care enough.

Really when you look at it, he should have just stayed in his car. He says the kid was staring at him and then coming to check him out, but he was staring at him as well. Why would anyone about to to do something illegal come closer to be identified. If I was up to no good and someone spotted me, I would have taken off running from the start. His family stated that he went to the store and was coming back to watch the NBA all star game. The all star game was on from 7pm to 930 pm, maybe 10, who breaks in somewhere around those times.

So he follows him, even when the police tell him not to follow after him. Now why would they say we don't need you to do that? Probably because it's not his job to follow him, and it's not a safe thing to do. I wont argue racism, but there's no way Zimmerman should just get off free.

If the media ignored your witness, the PD could've made the statement to that effect right. They could've provided the information to Trayvon's mother and lawyer and ended the story right? Listen to 911 #4 at the link I provided a couple of posts up. The woman, on the actual 911 call, says she is seeing a man in a white shirt on top of another man hitting him. Zimmerman was wearing a red shirt that night, Trevon a light grey hoodie. Which do you think would appear like a white shirt in the dark.

IT WILL BE SHOWN (it's already been determined by the Sanford police, but it will be re-verified by the other agencies now that they're involved) that the shot trajectory angle indicates that Treyvon was shot from an angle consistent with him being on top of Zimmerman.

I played on a high school football team with only 5 white guys, I was bussed 18 miles to go to a school that was 70% black. Your logic is faulty, if someone lives or visits a gated community, then of course there is going to be some sort of neighborhood watch or security; Zimmerman was captain of the neighborhood watch and did what I hope others would do, especially since there were a string of unsolved break ins.

I know what PRE trial is. As in before a trial. You do not plead guilty before a trail or there wouldn't be a need for a trial. Those charges were dismissed. Big difference from a guilty plea.

Martin was suspended from school for a non-violent offense. Maybe it was related to drug use (and theft to feed the habit). It's possible that Zimmerman saw Martin casing out the homes in the complex and got suspicious.
