In the 26 years between 1974 and 2000, there were only TWO quakes with a magnitude of at least 8.3 in the Richter scale.


In the first 11 years of the 21th century, there were EIGHT quakes with a magnitude of at least 8.3 in the Richter scale.


That's a HUGE SPIKE!
