I was watching this documentary today about the "other" Israel, and it's quite disturbing.

The Torah, is not of the original writings...it is based on the Babylonian rules that they had to use while being enslaved there, and the Pharisees wouldn't allow them to use the real writings and rules. They are saying that most Jewish people are aware of this, but not Christians, who have based their religion off of the Torah.

It also says that Jesus was disgusted with them for keeping those scriptures that were blasphemous. You'll find out why Jesus isn't allowed for their 3rd temple in this film.

They condone having sex with children 3 years old and older, but it's forbidden to have sex with a child younger than 3. If they don't personally kill someone, they aren't at fault and can't be blamed, even though they may have paid someone to do it and furnished a weapon for them to do it with.

A 22 year old video of Netanyahu meeting Rebbe Schneerson? Okay.

The thing about Schneerson, he was the head of the Lubavitcher branch of Hasidic Judiasm. The Lubavitchers are very big on proselytizing to other jewish people about trying to bring about the Messiah. They're always out on the streets in New York coming up to anyone who looks even vaguely Jewish and will start saying very much the same sort of things that Schneerson is saying in the video. It's just what they do.

In Judiasm the way to bring about the Messiah is supposedly by good deeds or acts like keeping the Sabbath, prayer, etc. The theory is that the next acts like that someone does could be the one that ushers in the age of the Messiah, so that's what he was talking about to Netanyahu. I've had my earful of this stuff a number of times, myself (I was raised Jewish but am now, religiously, an agnostic).

Where it gets a bit extra weird in Schneerson's particular case is that right around the time that video was shot, Schneerson's own followers were really starting to get it in their heads that Schneerson, himself, might be the Messiah. This was something that Schneerson never claimed, but he also never disabused his followers of that notion. Some Jewish theology on who will be the Messiah says that into every generation is born someone who has the potential to be the Messiah, who has the right level of righteousness, but they won't 'incarnate' as the Messiah unless the world is ready for it to happen. Not until enough good deeds, prayers, etc. are done to perfect the world. So, it's quite possible, even likely, that Schneerson while saying that to Netanyahu actually believed himself to be the potential Messiah for his generation. So in a sense he might have been saying, "why haven't you made me into the Messiah yet?"
