Regarding the Trayvon Martin case, the loss of a life is never a good thing, and I completely understand the parents’ desire to fully vet this, as I would do the same; however, I’m very disturbed over how the media is portraying this case. In fact, the blatant attempts by so many to paint this as some sort of racially motivated killing of an innocent “boy” is borderline criminal – if not entirely illegal. The media (and now the President) are in fact guilty of citing insurrection by selectively eliminating facts from their reporting, in an attempt to portray Trayvon Martin as some wholesome, All-American boy of 14 (per his picture they continually flash on the screen), when in fact he was a young man of 17 with what so far appears to be a pretty questionable (recent) past.
I by no means think someone’s choice in clothing or personal appearance should dictate our view of them, and am one of the first to ignore the cover in favor of the person underneath; however, judging by some of the latest images and information we've uncovered so far, it appears that the “person underneath” was quite the opposite of what the media (and president) wants us to believe….

I think it’s about time to hold our media more accountable than we have….The above information is available to anyone willing to research, and I’m certain that the media reporting on this case is fully aware of these images by now. When taken in the context of the other information we’ve learned over the past few days, it appears that George Zimmerman might have actually been telling the truth – particularly in light of the witness that recently came forward.
In short, as tragic as this event was, the real story here is the methodical and intentional acts by our major news outlets (and now the President) clearly intended to further fuel racial hatred and division in this country. They should be held accountable, and in fact, I’m now beginning to believe some should be arrested and charged accordingly.
