Just recently switched to Lugol's solution, J. Crow brand from Swanson Vitamins, been putting some drops in a protein shake or some lemonade, not every day but I have some health things going on that iodine is supposed to help so I thought I'd get the more complete iodine/iodide stuff to experiment with. There's a lot of good information out there about iodine supplementation, there's some good threads on GLP too if you search on both iodine and iodide to find them. Mineral deficiencies are chronic, endemic, pervasive and debilitating. We really need iodine and we really need magnesium and I have read some stuff about silica saying how crucial it is. Been taking it in the form of bamboo extract from Swanson, it is more potent than horsetail extract and a better value. |

It is a lifesaver, and is crucial to women for breast cancer, and men for prostate. For both sexes in the proper regulation of hormone production. The lack of it is the reason so many are overweight now, with such a low metabolism. But you must educate yourself before beginning supplementation. You cannot rely on any thread. I suffered every side-effect as a result of detoxing, and then a few additional ones. It was brutal. That said, it has completely changed my life. I lost weight, no more lethargy, clarity in thinking, and most surprising of all, my eyesight improved. Still, you must read and understand what is happening with your body. You should take supplements to help your body utilize the iodine/iodide, not the least of which would be L-tyrosine for a massive increase in hormone production. Iodide has it's place, but the iodine form is what is stored in the breast and prostate. I first heard of this some 7-8 years ago, but let the fear mongering put me off of it. I finally did an intense study, looking back at old medical references and decided to take a plunge. If you believe you have adrenal fatigue, this is the cure. |

It will also remove age spots and moles. As the OP mentioned, SSKI is an excellent way to rid yourself of gum disease. Afterwards, gotu kola and powdered white oak bark are excellent as a leave-in brushing compound. The gotu kola is an amazing healing agent (there are studies out there on rat's and more recently, dogs) which promotes lightning fast repair of tissues. The white oak bark is an astringent and will cause the gums to pull tightly to the teeth. This helps with loose teeth, and will prevent bacteria from entering the recesses of the gums, which is particularly important when you've had previous gum disease which has caused cavitations below the gumline. |

Iodine is a powerful oxidizer and will result in the rubber being eaten away, or the material in the cap being dissolved. I've talked with both the seller on fleabay, and Jeff on the phone. Both are wonderful individuals, but the former is more knowledgeable in what he is handling. He doesn't always list the full strength stuff online, but if you send him a contact message through fleabay off of one of his auctions, he'll put the product up for sale at your request.
