Black person kills anyone incidents are commonplace dog bites man stories, given that blacks (12% of the population) commit about 50% of the murders in the country. Not entirely surprising that coverage is so lacking, although the deaths are no less tragic.

Illegally, of course. Criminals don't use guns registered in their names. And convicted criminals are banned from owning guns. Doesn't stop them, of course, any more than having laws against drug use prevent people from buying drugs.

He did not need a gun, though. A knife would have done just as well. I heard from a friend about a knife-wielding robber who killed two judo black belts who were in town for a competition when they resisted. These guys were falling-down drunk. He could have killed them with his bare hands.

I remember hearing about those homicides back when they were unsolved. INTERNATIONAL NEWS! Tragic. But why no coverage once they caught the killer?

Is there some policy that when a black kills another human being that the story of their victims lives and their deaths no longer has relevance?

Does your life lose all value based only on the color of your killer?

Wow, I never heard that story before (which is amazing in itself). I know that many of the places that attract tourists from Great Britain, give out very specific information to keep them safe in Florida. Incredible that they have to do that.

Well when I was over there they told us of places you just do not go, even highlighted them on a map, said if you go here you might get shot!

When I worked in Downtown DC, tourist frequently would show me a map & ask about great places to see that were not on the typical tourist attraction list. I ALWAYS circled off areas for them to NEVER ener and "X'd" areas for them to steer clear of after dark.

Many people from other countries or the US Midwest just do not understand how downright dangerous some areas of our cities are & how the entire "socialscape" can change after the sun sets in some areas of town.

As far as where they got supplied a gun, most likely from a gang type of scenario that either steals them from peoples homes or trades them as part of "across the border" drug deals.

Ha, people forget about the Community Gun. A gun shared by a community of black or spanish people because they can't afford them for everybody. They leave it in a hidden spot, sometimes a mailbox. It's always there when the community needs it for crime and can't be traced due to all the fingerprints and moving around. That gun used today could be in florida next week helping some bros rob cracka.

It's not that dangerous. 80% of murders are criminal on criminal murders. Most of the rest is domestic dispute-related. Most of the random stranger on stranger crimes like this instance can be avoided by not getting falling-down drunk and walking into a slum area at night. Most robberies don't result in murder. Just make sure you always carry some mugger money around to make it worth their while robbing you. $50 is good. $100 is better.
