Stock Market No Longer Responds Correctly
Has anyone else noticed that the stock market no longer responds to any type of news correctly? Greece defaults and the market goes up. BMW issues a huge 1.3 million vehicle recall and the BMW company stock goes up. The fed has destroyed the stock market by buying up bonds. Banks hold bonds and sell them which gives them more liquidity. Trillions upon trillions of dollars have been infused. Now the stock market can not correct. All that is left is for the market to collapse. Then not even the Bernake's trillions will be able to save it.

this is spot-on.
Zerohedge have a video with the exact date the stock markegt broke (I kid you not).
I haven't got the link any more but someone here must have it. It showed volume and buys from 2008 onwards.....watch the video you don't need to be a technical analyst to see when it went wrong.

yes it was when the government started buying there own debt using the banks as the frontmen....

I used to play the market too but I gave up on it. It became fools game to try to figure out what stocks would move and when. They are clearly being manipulated. Just look at Apple. Steve Jobs, the man behind all of Apple's big inventions, dies and now the stock is up by hundreds of dollars. How?

It's only the Robo-trading
Robots don't care about anything

Over 50% (maybe more) of the orders and trades are done by Robots.
Look at BATS or Apple last friday ... how can Apple Flashcrash nearly 10% (50 billions) and no one cares? Because only fucking Robots are trading.

And liquidi comes from the Fed. Yes the markets are broken.

This is a dumb post, One news article will not change that much. If the buyers / holders dont react to the news, neither will the share price

Not as BAD as expected, you have to understand if it was simple as selling from bad news and buying from good.
Everyone would be rich!
There is more things factored into it, so its bad news, but something else from days ago or weeks or even months you have forgotten.
The big guys do not forget.

The market cycle hasn't ended, it's just super-charged w/ Fed intervention. We've had a bull market now since mid-2009 (3 yrs approx). Hedge accordingly.

The market is now completely controlled, that is why I do not even bother to discuss it much anymore.

For those who have made good money in this bubble, please put in hard stops to protect your gains from the inevitable plummet. When will this plummet happen? I do not know -- just take cae with what you have & I congratulate you on your good fortune.

We get the powers over us that we've earned collectively. Humanity, as a whole, is self-interested, shallow, ignorant, violent and immoral; small wonder, therefore, that our leaders (secret or otherwise) reflect that. You want better leaders, become better people.

I forgive myself, I Love myself, I'm sorry, Please forgive me, I forgive you, I love you, Thank you.

The market is obviously controlled and share prices represent the value of a company. If there was no control it would not work!

I think you mean manipulated, which it is and always has been. Our money is known as the 'Stupid Money' in the city, and they want it and will pull all the tricks they can to get it - It's far more common in AIM markets than the FTSE though

That said, there is still plenty of money to be made, Much better than getting a real job! I highly reccomend reading the naked trader, a decent book to get you started
