Re: Revealing Heaven by Kat Kerr. The most amazing account of Heaven!
I have to admit the story was absolutely amazing.. but things like the fact that we're taken up there in a spaceship is just weird... she mentions we can transport ourselves just by thinking, but then she mentions spaceships and public transportation on heaven. I don't know.. even tough it all seems amazing, at the same time It sort of feels fishy but it could all be true... who knows.
 Quoting: Fredrik

"spaceship"????? Really? I don't remember that part, did she really say that? If so, I have to re-evaluate her entire testimony.
 Quoting: Lisa*Lisa

I was wondering about this too! I was about to listen to this but if it says we go to Heaven in a spaceship then I say Whoa! I'm sure "Nobody in Particular" would agree with that but that sends up all kinds of red flags for me. I don't believe Jesus is coming for me in a space-ship! I believe all the "New Agers" want us to believe that, though.
 Quoting: MercyMe

Yea, me neither. We just have to be really careful what we believe. I'll just leave it at that because who really knows.

Yea, I forgot about that part, it does raise a big red flag for me too. I don't know, so I'll just stay away from things like this that one can neither confirm or whatever. I can't see how spirits would need cable cars.

You're right, it doesn't really matter one way or the other.

One thing that comes to mind though is from 2 Kings when the chariots of fire appeared and Elish was swept up.

Re: Revealing Heaven by Kat Kerr. The most amazing account of Heaven!
I found this audio book last night and ended up listening to the whole thing in amazement. I’ve been a follower of Jesus my whole life, but this really hit me hard and may be waking me up to a new perspective. I’m still contemplating the message and praying for discernment into the reality of what Mrs. Kerr is saying. I think that it’s important to be wise, to seek confirmation, and to weigh what people say against what I believe to be the Word of God; the Bible.

In this video (audio book), Mrs Kerr claims to have been given an amazing tour of Heaven, many times over a 10 year period.

Her visions are bogus deceptions.

I listened to the audio and can tell you, Heaven is not built to cater to carnival-going countryside visiting shoppers!

The description of heaven in Scripture is all about establishing in the readers' minds the order, dominion, rule, excellence, purity, righteousness, peace, holiness, and sovereign presence of God.

God...remember Him?

The video makes Him out to be a circus ringmaster and city mayor for the pleasure of human beings.

If you trace technology backwards, you get science and the scientific method, because technology is the application of science.

Trace the scientific method back and you get philosophy and the methods of deductive and inductive reasonings. Trace those things backwards and you get the creative thought of mankind. Did you catch that? Of mankind!

God gave the brain and the keys to dominion of this world to mankind and left it alone. Man invented science, the scientific method, and technology.

From our technologies we get archetypes, symbols, and iconography of design that is the signature of man made applications. That signature is why we can "recognize" technology wherever it is, even if it is advanced - but in the end it is still man made! Man made!

The audio sounds like "The Jetsons" meets "Liyyle House on the Prairie" and ALL OF IT CATERS TO THE DESIRES OF THE FLESH, NOT GOD!

As one example only out of many in the audio: moving walkways.

Give me a break. Why are the sidewalks moving? So we don't have to walk? Why not? Well maybe we will get tired from all that shopping; or maybe we are in a hurry and have to get to the heavenly Starbucks before...before what? What's the hurry? Well maybe the sidewalk is just for fun. Our fun! Heaven seems to be ALL ABOUT US and NOTHING ABOUT GOD except as an afterthought.

Today's church is a phenomenon-driven church. It's sickening.

Her is the quote taken from the book. It is a little long. She is not speaking of "spaceships" by modern definition:

"Whatever has brought them to this moment, whether natural death at old age, a sickness or disease or an accident, it is always the same. As you draw your last breath and your spirit begins to leave your body, you will begin to feel weightless and float upward. If you look back, you will see your lifeless body. If there are other people in the room or area where your body is, you will also be able to see them and hear their comments. You cannot communicate with them, because you have left your ¯physical¯ body and are now a ¯spirit being¯ entering the spirit realm. Yes, you do still care about those you are leaving behind because you love them but you are now entering into the precious promise of God - to be with Him. Unfathomable love erases any anxiety or fear of death you may have experienced, even moments before.

If you were sick, injured or in pain before, you will now realize that all those symptoms have completely left and that you feel wonderful. Also, if you were elderly, you are now young again because age has no effect on your eternal spirit. The life of God now flows into your being. You will have no fear, because the peace of God will now become your constant companion. At this point, some people still do not realize they have even died; because they still have their senses and can touch themselves, it is hard for them to comprehend. They will still try to communicate with others that they pass by and wonder why they do not respond.

If not already present, the angels will appear to escort you on your journey to Heaven. They are magnificent beings still aglow from being in the heavenly realm. They always know your name and usually assure you that all will be well. No one is left to find their own way. If it is a child or baby, they are carried by the angels; they never experience fear or sadness, only tremendous love. There is no ¯hanging around¯ or a struggle to find a way to ¯cross over¯. No one¯s spirit can remain on the earth for very long. There are various ways to be taken to Heaven, including chariots. If Jesus comes to escort individuals, they get to go in the Lord¯s own chariot. It is rare, but sometimes loved ones are allowed to see you leave or to see the angelic beings who have come to escort you.

One of the normal ways you are taken to Heaven, if you are to remain there, is by a transport. These transports come in many different models, so they may not all look like the one I saw two years ago when I witnessed someone boarding one. Not only could I see the ship, but the two angels who were escorting the woman. She looked amazingly beautiful and young, even though I knew she had been very old when she passed away. This transport (as shown in the illustration) looked something like a cable car without the cables.

The lower part was made of a solid substance that looked like burnished pewter. Ornate panels, on either side of its doors, were gold as was the trim that ran down both ends of the ship and around the bottom. The light emanating from the sides as well as from beneath the ship was a brilliant white with blue highlights. This could be the ¯bright light¯ mentioned by some who have had ¯near death¯ experiences."
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 893880

Alot of what she decribes reminds me of a movie that came out in 1991 that I watched. The movie " Defending your Life"
It's about a place you go after you die to see if you go to heaven or not.

Look at the form of transportation in this short video of the movie.

Here's another part about how it is made to look like earth and about the shoping malls.

The only difference is, in this movie they say there is no Hell, but most of what she says seems very close to this movie.

Re: Revealing Heaven by Kat Kerr. The most amazing account of Heaven!
I've listened to her tapes and she's a fake. In one of her tapes she slips up and says something about her husband saying "look at my rich, author wife...", and then a minute or two later she says "and by the way I'm not rich...". Total BS. If it was true she would only take donations and give 8 1/2 x 11 copies of the text out for free, in lieu of $15-20 a book. Just sayin...
 Quoting: Dick Nose

I strongly feel that this woman believes completely in her faith. I just can’t see her fabricating these accounts. I don’t think she would risk her own soul for anything, including money.
.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 893880

How'd you pay for your book/tapes again? Or did she give you a copy for free? If so maybe I'm wrong, but I doubt it. I have a feeling she's gonna shake this piggy bank until all the changes is out, and then pawn the piggy bank...

Thank you for this well thought out response. When I first posted this, I was sitting on the fence as to its validity. However, I thought it was interesting and decided to post it.

What I found charming about the accounts were the every-day-life descriptions of Heaven and the idea that as creative beings, we will still be creating for eternity. However, I certainly never wanted to play into any deception and I am wondering now if that was the case.

You make a statement that rang with truth for me: “Heaven seems to be ALL ABOUT US and NOTHING ABOUT GOD except as an afterthought.” This along with some of the quirky accounts is what has been digging at me. Heaven is about God and His glory.

Everything that I need to know about Heaven is in the Bible. Anything outside of it holds a huge potential for deception and I don’t need to be seeking it out. Heaven is wonderful and perfect and is all about GOD… and I’m excited that one day I will be there. Not because of me, but because of Jesus Christ.

I was reminded this morning of the thief on the cross next to Jesus. The thief was literally nailed to a beam – there was nothing that he could do or undo at that point. He could not be baptized, make amends to those he hurt, pay a tithe, etc., etc. He was done for. Yet, when he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.” Demonstrating that both here and in Heaven, it is all about God.

I’m still not sure if I should have posted this or not, but I am glad that we are having this discussion.

Thank you again.

Thank you for this. I'm only an hour in. Where Jesus is playing golf. But. Thank you. I feel closer... I may not go to church. I may not pray every night. I may not be diehard. But I do accept Christ. I do believe.

And this beautiful audio book. Even tho I may not be the best of people like these people... is why I keep my morals.. Ugh. I loved this. And really needed it.

Re: Revealing Heaven by Kat Kerr. The most amazing account of Heaven!
I READ REVEALING HEAVEN VOLUMES 1 AND 2. THIS REALLY HELPED ME TO DEAL WITH MY MOMS DYING IN APRIL. IF YOU HAVE A LOVED ONE IN HEAVEN IT IS VERY COMFORTING TO KNOW WHERE THEY ARE AND HOW MUCH BETTER OFF THEY ARE FREE FROM PAIN. LOVED THE BOOKS AND AM LOOKING FORWARD TO VOLUME 3.
