If heaven is all it is cracked up to be. Don't you think she would have stayed there instead of coming back here?

Just saying...

Quite right Sir/Mrs.
The first time there I would've of stayed.
I would of hid somewhere.
OP who comes back and brags about it?

So, is the sex good in heaven?

Any good movies showing?

What kind of music is playing?

Do people talk about politics?

If you lose your arm in a fire, an eye to a BB-gun, and are burned over 90% of your body do you still look the same?

Does everyone wear white?

Does everyone wear underwear?

Do tell how fabulous this place is and why we shouldn't all post pictures of mohammed wearing a bomb turbine along side our home addresses in hope of getting there sooner.

Re: Revealing Heaven by Kat Kerr. The most amazing account of Heaven!
I found this audio book last night and ended up listening to the whole thing in amazement. Ive been a follower of Jesus my whole life, but this really hit me hard and may be waking me up to a new perspective. Im still contemplating the message and praying for discernment into the reality of what Mrs. Kerr is saying. I think that its important to be wise, to seek confirmation, and to weigh what people say against what I believe to be the Word of God; the Bible.

In this video (audio book), Mrs Kerr claims to have been given an amazing tour of Heaven, many times over a 10 year period.

A moving sidewalk? Give me a break!

She speaks of heaven having technology similar (though highly advanced) to ours. This, to my way of thinking, glorifies man-made techno/industrial symbology, iconography and archetypes. Any decent artist who designs book covers for fiction about other worldly landscapes will tell you that.

It's "The Jetsons" meets "Little House on the Prairie" repurposed for today's phenomenon-starved church.

You know, I consider myself to be a creative person. I'm an engineer by training and an artist at heart. I absolutely love the idea that I will be able to continue creating on the other side. Seriously, how cool is it that there will be art galleries in heaven.

God created me in His image. God creates. I create.

I've listened to her tapes and she's a fake. In one of her tapes she slips up and says something about her husband saying "look at my rich, author wife...", and then a minute or two later she says "and by the way I'm not rich...". Total BS. If it was true she would only take donations and give 8 1/2 x 11 copies of the text out for free, in lieu of $15-20 a book. Just sayin...

I strongly feel that this woman believes completely in her faith. I just cant see her fabricating these accounts. I dont think she would risk her own soul for anything, including money.

I will be honest about what I think.

I listened to over half of it.

But when she got to the place where she was explaining her personal experiences of seeing people up there and relaying messages back down here....I got a bit creeped out.

There are so many deceiving spirits out there now. Yes, she has a lot of Scripture verses and seems to give the glory to the LORD.

But, in my spirit, there seems to be something amiss.

That is just me.

There was a bit of a feeling of being psychic or channeling that made me feel uncomfortable.

Since I stopped listening, I can't completely claim too much.

I guess I'm alone in feeling that something didn't feel right.

We are to 'test' the spirits. So I will pray and ask the LORD if HE can show me about these visits to heaven.

Forgive me if I offended anyone.

I hear what you're saying and it's wise to put everything under the microscope of God's Word. I'm sitting on the fence with regard to this. It's interesting and it's eye opening to the point where I've been searching my own soul for the last couple of days. But, it's not gospel.

Jesus has described Heaven and Hell. Paul was taken up to the Third Heaven. This is certainly enough description for me.

About testing the spirits, as you know, the test is found in 1 John Chapter 4:

"Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world."

in Matthew 24, concerning the endtimes, there will be a lot of disceiving spirits trying to deceive HIS people.

'for false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miralces to deceive even the elect--if that were possible.'

Matthew 24:24

Since I don't know Ms. Kerr personally, it is hard to see her 'fruit,' thus, for me, there is questions of her 'visitations.'

I have to admit the story was absolutely amazing.. but things like the fact that we're taken up there in a spaceship is just weird... she mentions we can transport ourselves just by thinking, but then she mentions spaceships and public transportation on heaven. I don't know.. even tough it all seems amazing, at the same time It sort of feels fishy but it could all be true... who knows.

I feel the same way. Who knows?

About transportation via thinking, she does admit that she wasn't sure if it was her or the angel doing it. As far as the other modes of transportation, I can imagine that there may be invented transportation available -- especially if those in Heaven continue to invent and create.

This has caused me to think about a lot of things. It has brought a realness -- a world very tangent to this world, but without the evil, destruction, and decay. I really like that.

Which part did you find most endearing? I loved it that our individuality will stay intact. And I also love that our creativity will be in full force.

I loved those too! I'm also excited about our assignments in heaven and our "mansions." I'd prefer a little cottage with a large overgrown garden though. tounge

Even if it's not all true, that's okay. I just can't wait to get to heaven to be able to praise God and sing! I love to sing, but wasn't blessed with a very good voice here on earth.

Seriously, I'm in this world now and I love the adventure and the lessons, but this place is not my home and I get homesick. What a future we have.

"Some glad morning when this life is over,
I'll fly away;
To a home on God's celestial shore,
I'll fly away..."

P.s. Any voice that sings is a very good voice.

I was wondering about this too! I was about to listen to this but if it says we go to Heaven in a spaceship then I say Whoa! I'm sure "Nobody in Particular" would agree with that but that sends up all kinds of red flags for me. I don't believe Jesus is coming for me in a space-ship! I believe all the "New Agers" want us to believe that, though.

I listened and found it to be an ongoing self-promotion and advertisement for books (now and in the future). I disregard anyone who claims to have a message from God, then makes money off of it.

As it went on, it reminded me of a psychic reading which is clearly from the devil.

Paul said his testimony was not for his own profit (it was free).

Her is the quote taken from the book. It is a little long. She is not speaking of "spaceships" by modern definition:

"Whatever has brought them to this moment, whether natural death at old age, a sickness or disease or an accident, it is always the same. As you draw your last breath and your spirit begins to leave your body, you will begin to feel weightless and float upward. If you look back, you will see your lifeless body. If there are other people in the room or area where your body is, you will also be able to see them and hear their comments. You cannot communicate with them, because you have left your physical body and are now a spirit being entering the spirit realm. Yes, you do still care about those you are leaving behind because you love them but you are now entering into the precious promise of God - to be with Him. Unfathomable love erases any anxiety or fear of death you may have experienced, even moments before.

If you were sick, injured or in pain before, you will now realize that all those symptoms have completely left and that you feel wonderful. Also, if you were elderly, you are now young again because age has no effect on your eternal spirit. The life of God now flows into your being. You will have no fear, because the peace of God will now become your constant companion. At this point, some people still do not realize they have even died; because they still have their senses and can touch themselves, it is hard for them to comprehend. They will still try to communicate with others that they pass by and wonder why they do not respond.

If not already present, the angels will appear to escort you on your journey to Heaven. They are magnificent beings still aglow from being in the heavenly realm. They always know your name and usually assure you that all will be well. No one is left to find their own way. If it is a child or baby, they are carried by the angels; they never experience fear or sadness, only tremendous love. There is no hanging around or a struggle to find a way to cross over. No ones spirit can remain on the earth for very long. There are various ways to be taken to Heaven, including chariots. If Jesus comes to escort individuals, they get to go in the Lords own chariot. It is rare, but sometimes loved ones are allowed to see you leave or to see the angelic beings who have come to escort you.

One of the normal ways you are taken to Heaven, if you are to remain there, is by a transport. These transports come in many different models, so they may not all look like the one I saw two years ago when I witnessed someone boarding one. Not only could I see the ship, but the two angels who were escorting the woman. She looked amazingly beautiful and young, even though I knew she had been very old when she passed away. This transport (as shown in the illustration) looked something like a cable car without the cables.

The lower part was made of a solid substance that looked like burnished pewter. Ornate panels, on either side of its doors, were gold as was the trim that ran down both ends of the ship and around the bottom. The light emanating from the sides as well as from beneath the ship was a brilliant white with blue highlights. This could be the bright light mentioned by some who have had near death experiences."

Yea, I forgot about that part, it does raise a big red flag for me too. I don't know, so I'll just stay away from things like this that one can neither confirm or whatever. I can't see how spirits would need cable cars.
