Haven't seen the show, but friends have and made snide comments about it. But then again, they're not preppers. And IF I had lots and lots of stuff stored, I sure wouldn't want to tell the world about it.

I keep a low profile about our stuff. Friends know I keep a good pantry. Heck, two winters ago we had a series of snowstorms here in Puget Sound and the folks on our street (which isn't a private road, but the county doesn't do anything about keeping it up, or plowing) had to make it 11 days before we managed to get an SUV up the steep hill to the main drag.

Near the end, we were almost out of eggs and fresh milk, but other than that, we'd done fine. Now we have hens, and I'm sure to keep dried milk powder in the house.

I've been married to my hubby for 44 years this anniversary, but let me tell you, after 11 days isolated, I didn't much like him. It was really GOOD to get out!
