Quoting: DUCM900 However for you there is always this simple unanswered question: now you can tell us how many times it should happen / year normally (roftl). I remenber you that since this year till now, it's happening ...everytime. And as usual you avoid any debate, or even a vague attempt at answering questions put to you. An almost dictionary-perfect definition of a troll. I've already stated, on another of your tiresome, endlessly idiotic threads, that it happens every time the moon is in the sky. And that there would be something very wrong with the universe if we didn't observe rotation of the moon as it crossed the sky. Now, since we're polite enough to answer your questions, how about you do us the courtesy of answering some of ours - such as what exactly is wrong with field rotation as an explanation of what you're seeing. Or are you just going to continue as an abvious troll... |

Now, i've seen it three times. The latest being tonight. But i guess that's better than NO moon, i reckon. So explain why you think it's not normal. You've been given repeated opportunities to explain yourself, but all you ever do is post the same inane comments and moronic GIFs. Do you have anything to contribute other than demonstrations of your stupidity? Actually, that's probably a rhetorical question... |

Quoting: Diamond Dust They are spending time debunking it and for me I like your side of it fine. I have a friend that has posted about the moon saying that it is different on my facebook. He is very um far out but has that 143 IQ so maybe you have something here especially because folks are debunking. :) |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 4584682 United States 03/29/2012 07:57 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The Moon's shadow is still left to right. YOU are the one that turned. It is an optical illusion known as field rotation. When the Moon (or anything else in the sky) rises you are looking East and it APPEARS rotated to the left. When high in the sky you are looking South and it is upright. When it sets you are looking West and it APPEARS rotated to the right (the illumination portion start from waxing crescent moon). Quoting: Anonymous Coward 4584682 Not at all, the moon's shadow on northern hemisphere is (was) changing all the time from right to the left on moon phases (waxing crescent moon is the first illuminated portion after the new moon). And It NOT rotate from a positon to another one like you think is, again you can find this info on books too. [link to www2.swgc.mun.ca] [link to www.google.com] [link to www.gwit.org] Look South and you see the shadow on the left, look West and up and you see the shadow on top. Magic! Second, when we see it setting and appears to be rotated to the right, somebody on the other side of the world sees it rising AT THE SAME TIME and sees it appearing to be rotated to the left! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 4584682 Again you think it's rotating, no comment. If you saw it appear to be vertical the entire time it was up, then it would be screwed up. The lit part of the Moon still points to the Sun, the terminator still points to the North. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 4584682 The moon does not chase the sun about its illumination. The moon is illuminated all the same time on half portion from a wide portion of the space (so the illumination source is NOT near: the moon is not effecting itself on illumination angle degrees by the sun at all). [link to www.moonconnection.com] Rotating a bit, is just an visual effect that you can notice near the equator regions only because of large angle on that area of the earth, I said this several times and again you can find this info on books too. You'll never find: "the moon on crescent phases is partially illuminated from the below because the sun." (roftl) Do you have a reading comprehension problem? I NEVER said that I think it is rotating. It is an APPARENT rotation. I NEVER said the Moon chases the sun about its illumination (what does that even mean?, can you speak english? Because you sure as hell can't write it.) You are WRONG that the apparent rotation is only seen near the equator. You have been shown this multiple times. It is YOUR FAULT if you remain ignorant. Just because you don't understand it doesn't mean it isn't true. |
