Re: Do you believe in God or a higher power? WHY?
Ants have no idea of a higher power, but here we are.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 972547

Every living thing has energy. Energy can not be created nor destroyed. Maybe Ants don't have a higher purpose like us advanced humans, but maybe their energy or whatever they do benefits the law of nature somehow in which we do not know as of yet.
 Quoting: ***ClappaGuy***

There is more to it. Ants represent, in the flesh, a type of conciousness.

Kinda like how Jesus represented something, in the flesh.

See that everything is a manifestation of consciousness. The function of the ant conciousness I do not know, but I have heard they are a special connection. See that certain conciousness manfestations have different functions.

It's hard to imagine that in all of eternity a myriad of beings would not have evolved who would be infinitely superior to us, just as here on earth, alone, there are infinite creatures who are inferior to us. Even if the universe were not eternal and only 14 billion years old, as some claim, the possibilities are endless.

God is real, and we, life on this planet, are about to feel it. This is the Rapture.

God is creating this planet's queen bee.

The rapture is akin to the light sprinkle that occurs before the main rain.

'Its that pelvic thrust that really drives you insane.'

The last 2k years has been a grace period. That is about to end.

I don't want to believe, I want to know. I KNOW there is an Infinite Consciousness/Unconditional Love/Source of all Creation. I also KNOW the biblical god is NOT Infinite Consciousness.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 11502350

If I raped and tortured your child . . . would you unconditionally love me and require no justice for the crime?

Thank God, He is Love AND Justice. You don't know much at all let alone that the biblical God is NOT Infinite Consciousness.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 13257493

I don't believe the biblical god is the highest there is either. I do know that there is an intelligent consciousness that does not judge and must be pure, compassionate love. We have a true essence and knowing that consciousness is not outside of us. We are part of it.

As far as bad things that happen to people, I believe that's karma. I see causality both ways. I don't believe in accidents either and nature is truly special. The earth is a living entity and we are connected to it.

Because he or she has experienced it as I have also. We are the connected to that Source of boundless nonjudgmental compassion. There is no judgmental god. It's man that judges and those that wanted to control that put the fear of hellfire through religious dogma. Also, guilt always seeks punishment. Those that feel they should be punished will probably feel some mental anguish when they cross over. I lean more to the gnostic beliefs in that we don't need a mediator. It's all right inside. Unfortunately, of all the forums I've been on, too few have experienced the christ consciousness firsthand. It's rarely actually, or they did and didn't realize it. I did commune with that consciousness and it is real.

Re: Do you believe in God or a higher power? WHY?
Ask anyone the question: "Do you believe in God?" and you are sure to receive a variety of answers. The question should be "What do you believe about God?"

Think about this:

If there is a creation, there must be a Creator.

If there is a Creator, He must be the Sustainer.

The Creator Cannot Create Himself.

If He is the sole Creator/Sustainer -- He must be ONE.

God must be one. Otherwise we would see great differences and competition between the gods if there were more than one -- Alone.

Do we agree that this is a creation? Or do we accept that nothing came out of nothing to form this entire universe?
This is a very clear message from Allah, in the Quran. Something does not come out of nothing. So, there must be something in existence already which created all that we know to exist. And that "something" needs to be called upon in times of need and thanksgiving.
As Allah has said in His Book: "I only created you all to worship Me Alone."

He also says that we are all being tested by Him with regard to our wealth, families, children and social status.

Gods God stands as the Formless One.

The Alpha and the Omega.

Therefor,

"Divinity must be lived, expressed and manifested, to be understood. God must be loved, known and revealed within the human heart and brain in order to be intellectually grasped."

I'm sorry; not the highest god or he wouldn't demand worship. Your concept of god needs to grow as do all churchgoers. If you can imagine and endless sea of intelligent consciousness that you are a part of that is immersed in all and supports and loves unconditionally. Something that is malleable and infinite and is connected to your own true essence. You can tap into anytime. You may converse with that consciousness too. It takes a total act of surrender.

Re: Do you believe in God or a higher power? WHY?
When my husband and I first moved to the Dallas area, we were really poor. He was out of town that day, about 8pm I drove to the nearest drug store to pick something up. Anyway I had my little poodle with me. I got out of the car and locked it with the keys laying on the seat. What a dummy, I put both hands on the drivers side window and I remember thinking I could break the glass out.

I decided to go into Eckerds and ask to borrow their phone and call a locksmith, I would have to give them a hot check because we did not have enough money in the checking account to cover the check I would have to write. Anyway I walked into Eckerds and the line was very long, I stood in line for about three minutes when I felt something cutting into my hand, I looked down and my keys where in my hand. I got out of line went to the car and drove home. I was amazed at what God had done for me. I did not even think to ask Him to help me, He just did. Other things have happened over the years but nothing as good as this. Thank you Lord

Yes, I believe in karma or causality, because I am aware of it on a daily basis. The difference is being AWARE. Don't see the polarity; only live in the moment. There is no good or bad; only experiences. Everything is done for our own soul growth. Every moment. We have that navigator right inside.

I believe we know much more than we do in life, here. The way I see it, in occultism a fundamental thinking is that every soul's mission is to get closer to God. Well, lets say a soul gets face to face with God. The soul wants to prove itself to God, so God says OKAY and plop you live a life as a human here.

See it as a mirror. To really show ourselves to God we voluntarily gave up our knowledge. Hence we are born into SIN or in a state of seperation. Seperation from Godlike knowledge.

I was thrust into spirit, attacked by a reptilian. Fire from the sky rained down on it's head, as if it could withstand.

I was shown the door to hell and told that souls that enter are turned 'crazy' and beg for eternity unheard. The most sadness I ever felt and I've had the type of rough life I see men on the news kill about.

'Turned around' by the hand of God and shown a light that IS alive and IS love. Ever since that morning stuff happens from the visions that verify the event as prophesy.

I am thankful that Grace decided to write this name in the Book.
