It's a little disconcerting that it can't really explain why the earthquake. And now, it seems that there are more going on as of today. We live about 2 hours away and we have heard booms and poofs and have had tremors here and there in the past year. All very strange. |
| Anonymous Coward User ID: 12331196 03/28/2012 07:34 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Two other monitoring stations in the area.... Jewell Farm, WI [link to earthquake.usgs.gov] Grayling, MI [link to earthquake.usgs.gov] Both these stations are showing similar activity as the station in Conover, WI (link is in the article I posted above). Now am I reading these monitors right that the shaking is sustained for twenty minutes? I'm fairly new to following these things (never had a reason to track before it started in my state) but is this normal? |

We've been hearing low rumbles like jets that go on for minutes at a time. Heard that several times yesterday, but had only heard it twice before then. |

We get the rumbling noise too...usually really really early in the morning, long before our airport about 20 miles away opens. Strange times. |

I remember the dream described booms and cracking sounds happening before the earthquake. Another thing was a double decker airplane landing at the airport, and I don't think there were double decker airplanes then, but we have the new airbus double decker. Do any of those planes land at Chicago? |

I got that too Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever, is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, If there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, let your mind dwell on these things. ~Philippians 4:8 ~Romans 8:31-32~ 31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? |

That there are cracks in the granite that are normally filled with water. As the water disappears, the rocks shift and crash into eachother, causing the loud booms underground. This may eventually cause a large sinkhole. The question is where and why is the water disappearing under clintonville, wi? |

There were specials on tv about big trucks hauling water from lakes. |
