Maybe that is your safe spot. I sent for the course several weeks ago when Ed Dames was on Coast to coast, waiting for it to be delivered.

Know-fate data

Then I clicked on this one:

Interesting!!
[link to www.phidot.org]

In previous chapters, we’ve spent a considerable amount of time modeling situations where the
probability of encountering an individual is less than 1. However, there is at least one situation where
we do not have to model detection probability – known-fate data, so-called because we know the fate
of each marked animal with certainty. In other words, encounter probability is 1.0 (which must be
true if we know the fate of a marked individual with certainty). This situation typically arises when
individuals are radio-marked, although certain kinds of plant data can also be analyzed with the
known fate data type. In such cases, known-fate data are important because they provide a theory for
estimation of survival probability and other parameters (such as emigration). The focus of known fate
models is the estimation of survival probability S, the probability of surviving an interval between
sampling occasions. These are models where it can be assumed that the sampling probabilities are
1. That is, the status (dead or alive) of all tagged animals is known at each sampling occasion. For
this reason, precision is typically quite high, as precise as the binomial distribution allows, even in
cases where sample size is often fairly small. The only disadvantages might be the cost of radios and
possible effects of the radio on the animal or its behavior. The model is a product of simple binomial
likelihoods. Data on egg mortality in nests and studies of sessile organisms, such as mollusks, have
also been modeled as known fate data.

Re: Remote Viewing Discussion -- future times / places / spontaneous OBEs
Well we've been so casual about what we're doing for so long (we have been doing this for years)... that I am afraid that making it too structured may 'break' it.

But my husband and I agree that I should 'set something up' just to see how close he gets (because he still doesn't quite believe its real).

Should I go for uber structured, uber vague like the poster above mentioned -- the way the military does it?

Or should I put some stuff in an evelope and then 'steer' him towards a date or place like I have been doing (more as a suggestion).

What should I use as a guide? Events from my past? Photos of my own or something online?
 Quoting: tandym

You see to enjoy the randomness so you may want to use a target reference number(trn) Your hubby would not need to know what the actual target or question is and the numbers would have nothing to do with the query itself, just think of it as a file number for the library. This library is limitless. Skip the envelope with suggestions because again - skewing results.

A number generator which can be found here (no affiliation with this site or their methodologies) [link to www.remoteviewing.com]

Ok, so I write down a place name (like a city?) and then associate a number to it.

This number I give him, and he concentrates on it to see what he gets from it. Is that the gist?

I will read more about this stuff later on, after work.

No. No details. You choose the target. Only the trn should be given to him.

You can choose to be present and ask him to tell you what he sees/feels or ask him to write it down by himself and then have him discuss the results with you.

Re: Remote Viewing Discussion -- future times / places / spontaneous OBEs
This isn't remote viewing it's just lying back, relaxing and imagining stuff. There are very precise techniques involved in remote viewing. The viewer should be given a set of numbers and that is all. These numbers will be chosen at random by the person acting as the control. The numbers should be written on an envelope prior to the viewer receiving them The number(s) act as an anchor for the viewer to focus on. Inside the envelope should be the subject matter the controllers wish to have viewed so it could just be a name, a place or a few newspaper clippings, anything, as long as it relates to the subject. This will be kept in a secret location and of course will not be revealed until the viewing is completed. Remember the only info the viewer has to go on is the number they have been given which is written on the envelope.

As for how the viewer then accesses the 'viewing' state, that's another issue which i won'treveal ;-)

Re: Remote Viewing Discussion -- future times / places / spontaneous OBEs
I am just now starting to be able to do this or understanding how to. One thing that has helped me is using a magnet over my minds eye. the magnet helps focus the minds energy to the frontal lobe, which is know to be most active when a person is doing a viewing(and many other unexplained thing). I use a magnet from an old speaker i had. So, it's not to strong but has a good size field. Now i have heard of some people having adverse effects from doing this. Most just not liking what they were seeing or feeling. Start slow and build up if it does not affect you. Good luck and keep posting updates on here so i see how its going.

Re: Remote Viewing Discussion -- future times / places / spontaneous OBEs
This happened on Valentine's Day evening. I'd never experienced anything like it. In the 72 hours prior I had worked up a lot of sexual energy from engaging in sex but not climaxing. I was eating only raw fruits and vegetables and went for a 15 mile walk.

I sat down to meditate and took the lotus position. Began breathing, and I felt like this magnetic pressure around me, on my wrists and fingertips. Noises in my abdomen and stomach and like three lines vibrating and kind of rolling up my back. Heartbeat seemed to jump followed by tingling on my head. The room disappeared and turned into a different place.. I can't really describe it, it was swampy, large open rooms, lots of reflective colors, looked like door beads were hanging off everything. Everything that appeared solid wasn't. Everything had a glow to it. Mostly yellows, blue, white, silver, grey, gold. I floated around for what seemed like 15 minutes in a carnival ride sensation... Where I'm at I'm next to a private airport and directly under the path to a landing strip. A plane came in to land I could hear the radio, I could feel the "magnetic" energy of the plane, which was completely blotting out the other experience. It increased the pressure I was feeling on my wrists and fingertips. It felt like it was squashing me. In a far less but similar extent I could feel the pc in front of me and the cell phone in the table. Like a vibrating magnetic presence. And I knew I'd been there before, the experience - during the experience was completely familiar.

I've been unable to duplicate it as of yet.

My husband slips into a state of light meditation easily after years of martial arts when he was younger. So that's all he does.

For me -- the meditation is much more difficult to achieve and most of the time I have to be in the twilight stage between sleep and waking.

That's the best 'diagnosis' I've had yet. I began having the Vakhari about a year ago. Perhaps they're related. [Vakhari is a massive increase in stream of consciousness where the mind is flooded with imagery and knowledge]

maybe glp should have its own rv club?
 Quoting: Stinky McMuffin

Cool idea. I used to be part of a website where the owner would look at a post card every week-he would put it on top of his computer.
During the week, we all would RV the postcard and email him, saying what we 'saw'.

At the end of the week, he would post all our comments & there were many more hits than misses. Then he'd take another postcard and start another week.

He was going to write a book about the experience, don't know if he ever did, he was also on his way to Giza for exploration I think.

I don't know if I trust Ed Dames as far as any of the RV information or predictions that he is getting. He was an instructor and protocol developer in the military program, but was not the person performing the actual RV. Joseph McMoneagle was found to be best RV'er. He was in the program for the entire life it was active (unlike Dames).

remote viewing has always fascinated me. i love reading about it. thanks for sharing!

also, do you think you or your husband could help me find my wallet? i know that sounds like a joke but i lost it on Sunday at around 5 pm and I may have left it at walmart....or somewhere in my house.

i will seriously pay you if you can rv it for me and I find it.

it's a black leather trifold fossil wallet. i'm in texas.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1237330

I'm in Texas too. I guess we could try that. What city in Texas are you in?

BTW, we don't need payment. It would be fun to try :-)
 Quoting: tandym

Opie here.

So get this:

On Sunday night I had a friend and his wife with their 2 kids under 2 come over. I went to junior high and high school with the people that came over and the guy I would consider one of my closest friends.

I had invited them over to have some food that I prepared and just to hang out and play with the kids etc.

After I realized my wallet was missing I e-mailed both of them late on Monday night to ask them to check if they had it or if they had seen it. They both wrote back and said they hadn't and so sorry and everything.

Cut to tonight. After remembering that I had it even after I got home from Walmart I literally tore my house apart. (I actually cleaned out the garage too...so it's not all bad) But I still never found the wallet. So, as a last ditch effort, I text my friend Adam that came over and he went and checked the diaper bags and what not and could not find it. Then he starts telling me I should give up since it had been five days and start calling around to get new cards. I agreed with him and was feeling defeated and down in the dumps about it.

Then just 1 or 2 minutes later he calls me and says that he found the wallet. He found it in their garage. I'm going over there right now (he lives about 10 minutes from me) and I'm pumped to see some of the stuff you guys were describing and maybe just misinterpreted. I honestly almost teared up because I have been so bothered by losing it. I felt like a crazy person because I just was so sure I had it at the house.

So thank all of you for your help! I really appreciate the effort and this honestly makes me want to actually be a paying member of this site. You guys are great!

tl;dr
Guy loses wallet. Asks for help. Is given a ton of descriptions from others. Guy gives up. Moment he gives up his friend calls and says they accidentally put it in their stack of things while leaving the house.

I will put one more update up with a picture of the garage and where it was sitting in the garage at my friend's house. I am headed over there now.

Brackets or latches braces
wooden dowels -- he mentioned 'skinny' ones specifically

A way for the military to get their RV info for free -- and make money at it, too? Lots of people paying for training... Quite enterprising of them!

My understanding of futuring is that it changes minute by minute depending on what decisions are being made now. So seeing it today may be a lot different from seeing it next week. I always thought futuring if you could do it was about getting a general sense and then directing yourself down the brightest path.

You are correct as future events can change as you revisit them. The major problem is determining how far forward or back you are viewing because in many cases it is difficult to locate a reference point. They may have viewed this killshot hundreds of years in the future.
