Hello Tandym. Could this be the tower your husband saw? [ link to www.panoramio.com] It is near the Tennessee river which has been known to flood. (high tide?)Thank you. Holy Carp! I've never seen that before... but googling 'Ball Tower World's Fair Park Tennessee' brings up a ton of pictures.... and clearly this structure is near shallow water! I will ask him. I showed him this picture and he said... well look at that, its my tower with the golden ball on top. !! This is turning into kind of a crazy day. Does your husband see what causes the ball tower to fall... weather, man, ??? Thanks!
