both sides of the coin

I just want to start this thread by saying; I do not condone violence of any kind unless my life or family is threatened. I just find it interesting that Reverend Al and Jesse come out all of the time to stir the pot on racial issues. I wish they would cover tragedies no matter what color/religion/creed/political background, etc., like the devout Christians they supposedly are. I am very sick of the double standard of Government controlled media and the talking heads on both sides of the political isle. What we need in this country is some sort of solidarity against the fascists that run our country and love for our fellow human. Both sides have been trying to divide this country to the point of no return in a once great nation. Don’t get me wrong, I love the United States, and think there is a bright future if we work together to bring about real change.

I was sitting here at work today thinking about a story I heard about in 2007. It was a very gruesome story that you didn’t hear a lot about. The very unfortunate story we have been hearing about the 17 year old Trayvon in Florida is disturbing. They (al, jesse, media, black panthers, etc.) seem to be using this as a political football. I also read about the mother trying to trademark his name; which I find very disturbing. In my opinion Americans should just keep the news off of the boob tube, and stay off of their internet sites, so they slowly run out of money. I feel the government would still give them money to keep it going anyways. I just thought I would share the story that I recall, and ask the question, why the double standard? According to published reports, Newsom and Christian went out for dinner on the evening of Saturday, January 6, 2007. Police say their car was hijacked and the couple was tired up and taken to the apartment of one of the suspects. There Christian was reportedly raped in Newsom's presence then Newsom was shot and his body burned. Police have not confirmed that his penis was cut off and we have not found any credible source for that information. Police later found a fingerprint on an envelope in Christian's abandoned car, which led them to the apartment and where they found Christian's body in a trash can in the kitchen. She had been dismembered. Again, police have not confirmed the mutilation of her breast. Investigators say they later determined that she had been held for at least two days during which she was tortured, raped, and murdered. Newsom's body was found by a railroad worker near some railroad tracks in East Knoxville.
