So i see it as an npc's will learn from the way it is treated by us , and react based on this. Maybe an entire game will be based on how we work with in it and each ncp's will evolve over time based on interaction. A learning game with a base ai program and a game that grows over time and even built by the npc's its self. You come back a week later and the entire place is being rebuild by the self aware npc's and they grow and learn.
