It really amazes me how some people open there mouths when thy don't know what there talking about . I looked up a few of these Doctors on the mermaids show and they are real Doctors . You ever heard of the Gov. Threatning people to keep quite , oh they would never do that not our Gov. Are you serious . I'm not saying its real or fake but do your homework . Look up some of the doctors online and you will see what I mean . You will be very surprised what comes up on one of them . Fake , after I saw what came up on one of the doctors I'm leaning to its real.

Fake you could say, but they are real, Explain to me how people from hundreds thousands of years ago keep seeing the same creature and would draw them and place them on boats? And They had no way for communicating with each other.

they defiantly where not air pockets and I myself have gone deep sea fishing and caught fish with stab markings and strange weapons in them. one second my fish is fighting like a mad man the next it like I lost him but I pull up a dead fish.

My only thought was...back in 2004, my hecka cool flip phone did not even have such a video camera feature! My "photo" camera on my phone back then only had 1.5 megapixel. that video captured by the boys back then, does not add up. video is too detailed, too good to be back from 2004 flips. and it zooms! i find it hard to believe this flip could do that.

Humans are the ONLY earth mammal to mate face to face (like dolphins), we have subcutaneous fat (like seals), we are hairless (mostly), another water evolved trait. Lots of evidence to say WE are in fact evolved from an aquatic ape.

my only question. and the only thing that sticks out in my head is that if the sonic testing was such a destructive act in one location why would they move it all over the world. Was it to escape persecution from animal activist? i wouldn't think so. Were the beachings even happening all over the world?

It's not hard to believe that where not the only humanoid species. I'm not a doctor. I'm not anything important. But i do believe that there's other people like us.They may not look or act like a normal human we see walking down the street. It would be really dumb if we were the only species of our kind like aliens or Bigfoot or Mer-people, Think all the space the universe has to offer us and we cant even explorer all of it and we the people don't use that space for anything. here's a thought, maybe one day they could make business out there in space to help with the loss of work for normal house holds all over the world! but sadly we probably wont. like i said before, I'm nothing important have no special talents. if i did i would be getting (My mother flip-in movie check) and living it up. but what i do have is an open mind and don't let people influence me into what they want me to think or act like.It's weird that most people cant picture other species like us but can picture a old man with a white beard floating up in the sky on a cloud with a house and or land big enough to fit all of us when we die that's sad in my opinion. u sound so fuckin dumb that this levelof stupidty was previously thought to not be possible. it NEVER said they were using "bows and arrows against sea folk". first of all, they found spears.. not bieng used against "sea-folk", being used against fish for food dumbfuck. and no people. listen. Dont you all think if any thing is true in this then why do they or we allow such distruction of the animal world that we could some how stop all the marine life killing themselfs,could we not look further in to this and stop them coming ashore like this,FACT look at nature we are killing of all the animals,marine life and our ozone,if we took notice along time ago we would and could have saved millions upon millions of them,you all think of that.

I personally went to Moclips and asked around. Not only have they never heard of a mermaid or any story about finding a mermaid they hadn't even heard of the Animal Planet tv show that makes the claims.

This spoof documentary was advertized to the audience as serious compelling study on potential mysteries of the sea.
I viewed it with an open mind on Animal planet channel in the UK.

I started by noticing bogus reality CGI shots featured within, uncertain attempts at reinactment and then testimonials and commentry by artists/actors posing as genuine Scientists.
Is it seriously posing as genuine investigation?
The whole field of scientific documentary making is called into question by such scandelous misuse of television in this way.
Maybe OK on April the first, but just imagine how many viewers may have been seduced by this film and now believe what they saw was real. It has high production values and was made probably by the same team as the popular "Air crash Investigations" and using their style but without the science and devoid of any moral accountability.


Can we safely assume that this unfortunate fraudulent investigation will not become the norm among TV producers in the never ending for ratings. how many viewers may have been taken in by this film.

I live in San Diego and gave the past 11 years. A good Navy Seal friend if mine told me of a couple times where he was training off Point Loma during February 2001 where they came across normally migrating dolphins, when they used their underwater night vision cameras and saw a school of these mermaids. He was freaked out the first time, but after that, developed a relationship with two of the mermaids. One male, one female. He said they seemed to look for him every year for the next 5 years and every year, he would catch them away from his Seal team and they would take him with them for a period of time. Each time he would be with them longer. After the fifth year, they never came back. He noticed the last year, the mermaid who appeared to be the female seemed to be pregnant.
Maybe after the female gives birth, they die just like salmon.

this is real and not fake saw this show in the first of the year. they were more discovered off the coast of israel they assumed it was an unknown species of seals until they recorded the sonar and confirmed it wasnt a seal or whale.
