A key showed up on my key ring and now it is gone.

Hey that does sound mega weird and the way I wrote is confusing. It may not be that weird but Im just saying I made up your handle name as a word and kept repeating it to myself growing up because it was so shit. Im not lying

There are such things as metaphorical keys.

Ask Homeland Security where they put it.

I hear ya after I posted this they are probably still mad.

My handle is a combination of letters last name and nick name.

Write down a list of everything you did from taking that picture of the key through to taking a nap and to the point of realizing the key has gone. Put times against each item in the list. Be as specific as you can, include the room you were in.

Then see if there is any missing time greater than 10 minutes.

I am in a motel room(pay by the week).

The picture I took was the key sitting in my laptop.

The laptop is on the bed right in front of me.

I fell asleep then the key was gone.

The only loss of time was the short nap.

Are you sure that you woke up from that nap?

If so, maybe you changed timelines, not the key.

I must have woke up from the nap because I am here and the key is gone.

If it was a dream then how do you get a picture of a key that you dreamed about??

reminds me when i tried to call someone a few years ago.. misdialled the area code and ended up talkin to a long lost family friend...

I think it was a dream --- If not, then it was a sign. Pray about it, and ask God -- what does the key mean. That's what I do in strange situations - It will then become clear to you what the key means. It's not important where it came from or where it went - more important, what does it mean.

I will answer one question and only one question.

Which is it you want to know?
A where the key came from
B where the key went
C or what the key goes to.

This is what I think. You had the key and have proof you had the key. Now the key has gone whilst you were asleep. Occams razor said somebody took it. Given the homeland security pictures/postings you got to assume it was taken by homeland security... And placed on your keyring by the same.

So what do they now have... They have a key to a safe,locker, cupboard with your fingerprints on it... Pictures of the key on your key ring...

What if you are being framed? Key ends up at a crime scene where someone is murdered and this key fits a lock in their house which contains your personal items, along with their DNA and your DNA.

Have you checked you are not missing items of clothing such as underware or I'd such as bankcards, union cards, video rental cards, driving licence. Or missing a key not often used?

If I were you I'd get this whole episode down on paper, and witnessed by a lawyer, along with printout of this thread discussion. Ensure the lawyer keeps the paperwork. This way you timestamp the loss of the key, so that you can protect yourself.

Best do a full inventory of your clothing and possessions.

Now your scarring me.

What prompted you to take a photo of the key? That's unusual even if the key shouldn't have been there in the first place.

Every time I have thought "you should get a picture of that".

well not every time I am getting better at getting the pictures.

I haven't this time I did.

Example....I saw an unexplainable object in the sky in Wy.

And thought "pull over get a picture".

But I wanted to get closer.

As I drove closer the object it disappeared into the clouds.

Never posted it because I had no picture.

Now I take pictures ASAP when I see something unusual.

And this was unusual.

Is napping a thing you do regularly or is napping something that you rarely do? I'm wondering if your habit has changed or if you are a habitual napper and someone knows this and can easily take advantage of this fact.

If its a rare event for you, did you consume anything 15 to 30 minutes before you needed that nap? A can of soda, a sandwich a candy bar? Yes I am asking if you were drugged.

This hotel you are in, is this your regular pit stop on the road of trucking, meaning you have been here before, or a new place to you?

Look, the simplest explanation is someone took the key. What you need to figure out is how they knew you were napping, and how they knew you would nap do deeply they could enter the room, risk jingling keys and waking you to take that key.

You also need to figure out how they got the key on you in the first place.

If someone knows your habits (you take a nap at so and so time often) and that you sleep deep enough in a nap that they can go through your stuff while you sleep there, then they know you - pretty damn well. Thus chances are this is someone you know.

If this nap was odd for you, then someone drugged you (purposefully knocked you out) and they don't have to know your personal habits.

I do not regularly nap.

But I am starting to get freaked out.

There was just a black pick up truck across the street with the lights on.

I took a picture with my cell phone but when I looked at the picture the truck was gone.WTF???

And the truck is no longer there.
