not all.GOD shed his blood so that we can be forgiven for our sins. All you have to do is accept this and sinning. It's quite simple when you gain self control and you fear the consequences.

Love does not NEED blood to love and forgive, it simply does. Nor does it use fear to get what it desires. You've been suckered into believing God is something other than it is.

And for what it's worth, I feel MORE in control of my life now than I ever used to as a Christian. I have the choice to do something or not now sexually or otherwise depending on what my desire is at that time. Before I always felt I HAD to do this or that out of fear of God and hell, but once I let go of that, I became free and the guilt and shame I once had went away. It's a freedom you just can't have if you are constantly worrying about what God thinks.

I would wish that on all of you, to experience that one day. Once you do, you'll never wanna go back to how you once were believe me. I may make my mistakes I may have my flaws, but I am in total control of my life now, and have freedom I never had or felt I had when I was religious. Knowing God loves you no matter what you do, and isn't gonna condemn you even if you make bad choices makes a huge difference.

When you do something out of fear, it's not really self control nor genuine, simply because fear is present. And in the end you are doomed to fail, because you are still focusing on what NOT to do instead of actively making a choice for yourself to do something or not based on what works for you. I know that was the case for me. I never once succeeded in staying away from what I thought I had to stay away from, because I never truly wanted to, I just felt I had to. When you realize you have complete control of yourself and your life and what you want to make out of it, your perception changes.

Religion binds, spirituality frees.

I feel you ajk. I share your experiences before and after too. If I have any reason to be christian, I have as much reason to be muslim or buddhist and since neither of those other religions appeal to me simply because I wasnt indoctrinated into them, I also fight freeing myself from the bonds of christianity. I narrowed down my belief to the simple fact of the location I was born and figured out that had I been born elsewhere other than a christian family, I would be practicing the religious ideologies and since I had no say in where I was born when coming to planet earth, I chose not to adopt any religion as my own as there is really no basis for my beliefs/religion other than my place of birth.

That's more or less it. And people have to understand too, God is NOT so limited that it can't reach you in other religions also. People always want to assume that they found God because of WHERE they looked, not because they looked at all.

All you have to do to find God is look, seek and you shall find as the saying goes. Doesn't matter where, a church, a mosque, in nature, etc, if you look you WILL find God. If people could grasp this, religion's power would be severely lessened, because people would understand that it's not the only place God is. As it is I think people are waking up to that anyway, but if more did it'd be even moreso.

You can't find God in a church. You need to meditate
