Unless she's looking for that whole slumlord, tenants bludgeoned to death, bodies rotting on the floor, no worries insurance pays for the cleanup kind'a reputation. If that's the case then by all means don't take your gloves off.. you're just getting started. |

Isn't there a balm you stick under your nose (like in autopsies) for the smell? |

Quoting: Scrubby McSterilize 13297298 The worst part was the smell.... and scraping up the coagulated bleed with a paint scrapper. So I guess what you're saying is not to rent to mexicans. Racist. Cleaning up blood is fucked. The sheer amount of iron in the air. Its practically working at a steel mill or something. |

Quoting: Scrubby McSterilize 13297298 It could have been worse. You where lucky that someone wasn't killed in an upstairs apartment, with all the blood and soaking into the plaster of the bedroom below. Then slowly saturating it, until in the middle of the night a great big peace drops off and falls onto the sleeping woman in the bedroom below.PS: Will whatever relative who gets the dudes estate be getting the rental deposit back? |

PS: Will whatever relative who gets the dudes estate be getting the rental deposit back? i had a friend a long time ago who had to clean up his cousin after a shotgun blast to the stomach. the cousin had been dead for about 2 weeks when they found him, and jerry got the duty. i kept thinking about his story as i was scraping all this bodily crap up off the floor... and i was telling myself, yeah this could be a whole lot worse. and hell no on the deposit. they trashed the place. this is a fairly nice house in a not so nice part of town. |

Bleach doesn't destroy the enzymes...you need an enzyme cleaner to properly clean. Did you bother to get OSHA certified? You would know this if you had. BTW, my roomate is currently studying to be a crime scene cleaner. And while you don't NEED to be OSHA certified, you probably don't know what you are doing if you didn't take the time to learn. It's not that long of a course and it is extremely helpful information. Look into it if you haven't. |

Quoting: Scrubby McSterilize 13297298 I dunno about that one actually. If it was me I'd consider going to small claims court over it. As you said: " there was allegedly a party at the house and a fight broke out. a guy was kicked out but then came back with two friends when the party was over. they beat the with a baseball bat, and a diesel piston ashtray that were recovered at the scene"Now if it had happened during the party then the deceased would be responsible because he invited them in. And I think I'd accept the argument that he was responsible for his guests. But when they came back after being kicked out they where not guests. I'd use the analogy of: Suppose the tenant was a little old lady of 80 murdered as she slept. She surely was not at fault. |

Also, since the cimials haven't been caught, did you get approval from the PD to remove the evidence? You need to make sure and get that otherwise you become criminaly liable for destoying the evidence. |

Best is to learn to get use to it, then over time, you don't even notice it. But the first couple times...puke city. |

I didn't know that.... and no, i'n not osha certified... i'm not a professional scene cleaner... just a guy helping out his sister and making a few bucks. i will say this... the smell is completely gone... and so is all residue... once the new carpeting is installed you'd never know anything ever happened there. but now you got me thinking.... the reason i did it was because she got a quote of $3700 from some guy the cops recommended. |
