All of the gun bearing people....
If they really start passing draconian bills(not the stuff being misinterpreted as such), we have something to stop them.
And the fact we own guns in the first place is enough to deter them from passing extreme legislation. They take away our guns...you can bet a million dollars the very next day every single one of your freedoms would be gone. The founding fathers added that amendment specifically so the people would be protected from the government.

I'm a liberal,fyi. But I'm not one to be easily influenced by propaganda. And the anti-gun stuff is just that.
