It all depends on what you mean by "belief in God". For example, "murder" exists, however, I do not believe in murder. The same could be said with a god. If this god of your choice has "unconditional" love, then why would he in comparison "hold a gun to hour head" by saying, "If you do not love me, you are going to hell." Could you say that to any one in your family?....Of course you couldn't.

The whole idea of a "god" is very silly, and unreasonable.
