no if you understnd we are in tribulation we are the ones left behind until the coming of the lord we are the ones alive and will have to face the trials.

We are the ones will be tested and purged and proven.The people who are giving lip service right now will be exposed.

There is a false teaching that the church will be raptured for 3/1/2 years while all hell breaks loose on earth and the bad people will have to go through some 7 year tribulation and persecution

I'm referring to anyone that believes in a "rapture." If you go up into the upper atmosphere without a space suit, your body will be crushed by the pressure of outer space, that is if you aren't already dead from lack of oxygen.

I beleve I have found reasonable doubt through studies and literature if the scripture that there is evidence that the lake of fire is not an eternal punishment but utter destruction after a season.

For instance many proponents of eternal torture use the verse in Revelations that says something to the effect of 'the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever'.

At first glance this does seem to promote eternal torture.But then it was pointed out to me that very similar language was used to describe Edoms complete destruction in the old testament.Obviously Edom has ceased vurning liong ago.Is is possible that this type of language is merely referring to the finallity and power of which Gods final judgement comes down,instead of eternal conscious torture?
