Are you SAVED from DAMNATION?

Have you not considered that when it said that the sons of God cannot sin it means that the sons of God doing things that are normally considered a sin are not sin to him?

For example the old testament says that to work on the Sabbath is a sin but yet Christians work on the Sabbath and even Jesus did work on the Sabbath yet is NOT considered a sin.

Have you considered what Jesus said about how if your hand was causing you to sin you should cut it off...or if your eye was causing you to sin you should pluck it out...and how he said that it was far better to enter life maimed than to perish?

Also, how Jesus said that in that day there would be many who said to Him "Lord, Lord...did we not cast out demons in your name, and perform great miracles in your name?" To which he replied, "Depart from me you evil-doers, (sinners), I never knew you."

And how He instructed His disciples, (those who had been called out of their every day life, received Him and were given the power to become sons of God), to "be ye perfect, even as your heavenly Father is perfect."

These were people who had been given the power to fight the good fight, to overcome their flesh and crucify it unto their own perfection and sinless state....

If a tree bears bad fruit, (sins) than the tree is evil. Jesus' solution "Make the tree good so that it will produce good fruit.

And finally, we have Mark to thank for another litmus test given Mark 16:17 - And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name they shall cast out devils, they shall speak with new tongues, and if they drink any deadly thing it will not hurt them, they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover.

The scriptures teach that if a man so much as speaks a lie, he will have his part in the lake of fire....

Here's a good site for seeing all the scripture relating that perfection and sinlessness is required of believers...but that Jesus actually came to give men such power to overcome and conquer their flesh.

This whole site should be studied for clarity.....especially because many many people over the past couple of thousand years have known about this and have benefited from the grace and power of God unto a sinless state....It's still occurring today, but it will not be ever taught in a church....

The we read that "whoever overcomes shall be saved..."

there is no such thing as damnation. There is only life on low class prison wards for those not very lighted, and otherwise if the light is gone, uncreation. If you are uncreated, you can't come back. God is of love and the creation has NO DAMNATION.

This topic is about Salvation and it's as simple as believing the Gospel.

Which is why it is called "Good News" because if my salvation was dependent on my ability to keep some commandment or rule etc. then I am lost just like I was and there is no hope.

"And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel." -- (Mar 1:15)

There is no "Repent of your sins" in the bible, the verse above is saying to repent of your disbelief/unbelief

Yep, you are obviously confused as to the Gospel and what it means to be a Christian because you are quoting scriptures as if you are refuting me.

To believe the Gospel is to believe that Jesus Christ the only begotten Son of God died for your sins and rose again after 3 days, ascended into heaven, and is to come again granting you everlasting life by your faith in Him.

This also makes you a Christian and because of this a Christian is born again and walks in newness of spirit not in the oldness of the letter of the law.

Let me give you an example of the difference between a Christian and a Legalist...

It's the Sabbath and it is written to not do any work on the Sabbath yet one of your lambs have fallen in a ditch.

Legalist = Can't do anything, it's the Sabbath, it would be a sin.

Christian = Saves the lamb and in so doing did not sin because to the Christian (and to God) the Sabbath was made for man not man for the Sabbath. Technically though the letter of the law was broken.

I can give more examples if you wish...

If you actually studied the book of Romans you would understand these things...

"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. Being SAVED is YOUR CHOICE. How your life your life eternal is based on your choices and your gaining of wisdom. You are redeemed by your own efforts and not by your false beliefs. To be Christian is to be saved by grace through Jesus Christ and not of myself but Him who purchased me with the shedding of His blood.

I am not perfect and have many failures and faults but Jesus IS perfect and sinless.

The real places God/spirit within YOU. Not outside of you up there some way. You must work on coming to understand that the Father Resides WITHIN YOU which is what Jesus taught.

No, no....I DO get it....It's okay to sin as long as you are "in Christ." Those who sin and are NOT "in Christ" will burn in hell for all eternity....

You still don't get it, I never said it was "okay to sin". Did you not read my example? If you want to understand what I am talking about study Romans and Galatians.

We all sin, we all make mistakes, if our salvation was dependent on our ability to be sinless then we are all lost, but it's not, it's based on what Jesus did for US.

Jesus tried to show people this by saying that the law says not to commit adultery but you still break that law even if you don't actually physically do it but if lust after someone in your heart.

The Word of God in the Holy Bible is the ANSWER, SEEK HIM OUT!

Death and Hell are related... In the last day Death and Hell along with those in them are cast into the lake of fire called the SECOND death.

yes, i know the bible, ive read it. its hard to believe a supreme being would not have common sense. his goal was to create humans then turn them into sheep? why not just make more sheep? dumb

God created Man who was made in God's image able to love and have mercy and be creative etc. BUT Man rebelled against his creator and so that is why we have this mess we have now because of Man's rebellion.

It all began with Adam and Eve who instead of listening to what God wished for them (which was for their best interest) they listened to Satan and felt they knew better than God. God then said ok fine as you wish, and Man was kicked out of the paradise garden God made for them and Man had to take care of himself from that point forward til his time was finished (which is real soon).

SO, because we are not all-knowing we end up destroying ourselves, that is why people die today because of OUR actions, the food is unfit to eat and the water is unfit to drink all because of Man's rebellion against his creator and the way things are supposed to be.

It's all our fault (with some fault on the adversary, Satan for tempting and lying to us)...

BUT God loves us, so he offered a way out for us through His Son Jesus Christ so that we don't have to be destroyed.

It's very simple, it's a story of the love of a creator for his creation and His wish for His creation to choose Him which is Truth and not choose a lie.

it is very simple, you're right. what would be the reasoning for him to make all this and be the judge jury and executioner? look at things from his perspective and you will realize that heaven and hell are pointless unless used as fear mongering. can you really not think outside of what was forced down your throat? if you were born in iraq you would be a muslim. god does not benefit from blind followers. if there is anything he needs it would be others diverse opinions. the only way to get pure unbiased opinions would be to get us near the balance we are at right now, but its become so corrupt that we will need to be wiped out again and once again he will have to start over because people like you couldnt grasp the concept
