Boulder, Colorado a “hot spot” for Fukushima fallout — None other US or Canadian samples came close except Portland which was higher
My group measured soil, air filter and dust samples from Washington, Oregon, California, and British Columbia. This particular soil sample, with 8 pCi/g of radiocesium, was our highest North American result. It came from a site on the outskirts of Portland, OR. The next highest result came from a site near Boulder, CO. Except ...

Yes, live there and have known it for decades.

Supposedly Rocky Flats "closed operations" 25 or so years ago but I've never bought the story.
Serious contamination of water supplies serving thousands of populations south via Platt River plus smaller isolated fresh water supplies.

In the early 80's i lived across the street from a guy with a family of 4 who worked at rocky flats who actually said to me "Oh, we handle that stuff out in the *OPEN*"

Kid you not. They were belly-scratching casual about it.

The radiation (from the Flats) has always been particularly concentrated about 10 miles south of boulder in Eldorado Springs.

not 10 mis, more like 4 mis.

btw, the dust/sand being blown all over the place also accounts for a lot of radius spread.

It's cosmic Karma! The independent republic of boulder has been an island of liberalism for way too long. It Gods way of saying "FUCK YOU!" to all the libtards that can't seem to see the truth. It's like putting the San Andreas fault under Californication.

The Flats IS a factor and has been for decades. I wouldn't presume to say it's the only factor, there are quite a few abandoned mines in the mtns as well.

But to say "these retards don't know shit" suggests you have a better handle on it and some valuable information to share with us all.

WTF is the problem people appear UNABLE to factor in more than one reason for high rad readings.
YES THERE ARE THINGS CALLED MULTIPLE SOURCES THAT DO NOT EXCLUDE OTHER SOURCES.
Remember to breathe with your mouth closed.

High rads for a particular location can INCLUDE:
1~Existing high rads from retired nuke plant + geological factors which are built in to the ecosystem.
2~abandoned mines of numerous functions.
3-Rads from *yes* you limited one-dimensional flatheads: *FUKUSHIMA*

Try to be rational that is all i ask.

You guys are really gullible. There is ZERO fukushima radiation in the US. Absolutely zero! Whatever readings are being found is from other entities such as coal power plants and other sources.

The steam at Fukushima has been measured to go as high as 2,000 feet. There is zero chance the jet stream is carrying Fuku radiation since the jet stream starts at 20,000 feet altitude.

This is a local event with the trade winds blowing the radiation back onto Tokyo and the rest of Japan. Look at which way the wind blows. It does not blow from Japan to the US. Do ten seconds of research and google a trade winds chart.

They want you to think it's going the other way because Tokyo is polluted with unsafe radiation levels and should have been evacuated.

If you live in Japan, you need to get out of there. If not, you will be at an insanely high level of risk for cancer over the next 5-10 years.

That's the truth. If you want to buy into the fear mongering disinfo then be my guest. You were warned.

I live in Boulder. We have two possible causes for this elevated level of radiation.

First is the Rocky Flats Plant which was a United States nuclear weapons production facility near Denver, Colorado that operated from 1952 to 1992 and which lays along the foothills between Boulder and Denver. [link to en.wikipedia.org]

The second is the recent history of fracking in Weld County just to the east of Boulder.

Depending on where the samples were taken from, there could be many explanations to why the levels are elevated.

Regardless, any explanation clearly points to man as the cause.

I think so.

With so many types of radiation going on with different weights, some ride dust, some sink close to the source (plutonium is heavy)some rise in dust, water molecules and fall as snow/rain.

Reactor #4 is sure to end all arguements. Funny it is how long it takes to catch up with ourselves, even
Helen Caldicott said if reactor #4 goes she's leaving Boston.
Although I admire her greatly wondered how her reasoning still gave her and 'IF' as though reactor #4 might lean indefinitely like the Tower of Piza, lol!

Hanford nuclear plant square on the columbia river closed down 20 years ago because of constant problems, still to this day leaks radiation into the columbia..... flowing out to the sea...... burping into the clouds.....

Here is a url to the operating nuclear facilities in the US: [link to www.nrc.gov]

Here is a real eye opener of all the nuclear BOMB tests the US has done over the last 40 years: Makes you sick!
