Oh so if Ron Paul cannot hack it as a Republican, he should run as a libertarian? Are you saying that the libertarian party is the party of rejects?

Ronald Reagan was a Libertarian that was dismissed by the Republican Party as a radical, too extreme and lost the nomination in 1976 to the more moderate Gerald Ford, WHO LOST to Jimmy Carter. What followed were some of the darkest moments in a generation. In 1980, this extremist Libertarian won in a landslide victory, as a Republican, and what followed were some of the most prosperous years in American history. Classic Libertarianism is what the Republican party once was, destroyed by Bush Sr and all that carried the torch afterward.
