He didn't show up to tell me that. He showed up to try to collect. We spoke for almost an hour. My best guess is that he was expecting to find a family of crack whores who are always trying to get away with something.

In this case he saw that we were a decent family, no crack whores here, and I believe he took a liking to me and the kids and maybe he just plain felt sorry for me. All my guesses as to why are only guesses.

But I'll tell it to you again, the story is absolutely true. Whether you choose to believe it or not, doesn't change the fact that this did happen.
