Either N.Korea blinks or Japan/S.Korea/US blink and allow the launch. I think Kim Jong-Un cannot afford to back down as they've really gone all out too show that they will do this i.e. launch the satellite. If he backs down, he will probably lose any vestigial respect given to him due to being his father's chosen successor. So he has to do this. So question is what will S.Korea, the US or Japan do. If they act and shoot it down there will be a Korean war. I think their only course is to blink and say well, this is really nothing, it's just a satellite - but they will have acquiesced and Kim will take it as a victory....and as a result it will only encourage young Kim. This is a very big deal as you said. Very interesting week coming up for sure "Blessent mon coeur d’une longueur monotone." |

Like you said, the way that the U.S., South Korea, and Japan react will have a ripple effect on everything. "Be strong and courageous.
