SEC. 1145. TREATMENT OF CERTAIN CANCER HOSPITALS.

Section 1833(t) of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1395l(t)) is amended by adding at the end the following new paragraph:

`(18) AUTHORIZATION OF ADJUSTMENT FOR CANCER HOSPITALS-

`(A) STUDY- The Secretary shall conduct a study to determine if, under the system under this subsection, costs incurred by hospitals described in section 1886(d)(1)(B)(v) with respect to ambulatory payment classification groups exceed those costs incurred by other hospitals furnishing services under this subsection (as determined appropriate by the Secretary).

`(B) AUTHORIZATION OF ADJUSTMENT- Insofar as the Secretary determines under subparagraph (A) that costs incurred by hospitals described in section 1886(d)(1)(B)(v) exceed those costs incurred by other hospitals furnishing services under this subsection, the Secretary shall provide for an appropriate adjustment under paragraph (2)(E) to reflect those higher costs effective for services furnished on or after January 1, 2011.'.

Having just watched two family members suffer and die from illnesses where they KNEW death was the only way out, I would have to say that euthanasia is long overdue. We are a barbaric race who will ease the suffering of our animlas and let our family members writhe in agony.

Not sure if the article is true but from an economic point of view that is not a bad idea. A very large portion of the healthcare costs goes to trying to extend the life of old people.

At some point you have to ask yourself how much it's worth to extend peoples lives for only a few years. On top of that, if you do give them treatment you are making their last years a living hell, or at least in the majority of the cases.

Policies like these would drive the healthcare costs down which in turn drive your insurance costs down.

The implantable type 2 medical device (microchip) has been proven to cause tumors and/or cancer in pets and people. This is something included in the Health Care Bill.

Not very effective. Something I have seen happening very often (including my grandmother), is that when old people are getting deceases it tends to accumulate. They treat cancer, and something else pops up, going back and forth, and spending crazy amounts of money on it.
