And after all that saying their resolutions do not include military options, we have this little gem...

The United States is working with Qatar, Saudi Arabia and other members of the Arab League to push through a resolution for the United Nations Security Council to lay the basis for military intervention along the line of last year’s NATO war against Libya.

Baldrick, so what do you get outta all these movements? some Horse crap propaganda or real crap?
 Quoting: The Blessed

A united Arab League and US military intervention in Syria will/may draw Iran into a conflict, said conflict not against just the US or Israel but against the US and every member of the Arab League. Any attack perceived to be originating from Iran, whether real or not, will illicit a response from the US Arab League forces, and Iran will then be fighting against a significant portion of its neighbours from all sides.

Israel reserves to take a defensive stance, until such time as it is attacked. That attack could be genuine, from any of its hostile neighbours, including members of the Arab League, or from within its own factions should it be advantageous to enter the theatre.

Syria is the stepping stone.

So in short, a lot of both.

It’s highly doubtful that the thousands of Israelis who descend on the north in the coming days are cognizant of just how deceptive the quiet is in this area. Indeed, the border with Lebanon and Syria has been tranquil for a number of years now, but the potential for conflagration is significant, and menacing. An assault on Iran is just one possible trigger for an escalation, but it is not the only one. A large-scale terrorist attack or the transfer of strategic weapons from Syria to Hezbollah is liable to ignite a full-blown war, says the IDF's GOC Northern Command Maj. Gen. Yair Golan.

RIYADH — Saudi and Qatari newspapers on Tuesday lashed out at Iraq's Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki over his implicit criticism of Saudi Arabia and Qatar for their calls to arm Syrian rebels.

"Gulf (states) should boycott Maliki and his government," wrote Tariq al-Homayed, the editor of Asharq al-Awsat, calling for the "punishment of all who stand with the tyrant of Damascus, first and foremost Maliki's government."

"Boycott him to prevent the emergence of a new Saddam or another Bashar," wrote Homayed in the Saudi owned pan-Arab daily, referring to the late Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein and Syria's embattled President Bashar al-Assad.

The Saudi media campaign against Maliki came after the Iraqi prime minister said Baghdad rejected "any arming (of Syrian rebels) and the process to overthrow the Assad regime," arguing that the call by Qatar and Saudi to arm Syrian rebels "will leave a greater crisis in the region."

He also cautioned that "those countries that are interfering in Syria's internal affairs will interfere in the internal affairs of any country."

Read between the lines peeps.

IF this gores down, it will go down big time, and all the oil the US will have flowing, is from Canada. Reserves in Australia are already being prepared.

The pain to US citizens will be immense, even if Quds Force does not go operational, which it will. Expect oil refinery attacks/destruction world wide.

And it's one, two, three,
What are we fighting for ?
Don't ask me, I don't give a damn,
Next stop is Iran;
And it's five, six, seven,
Open up the pearly gates,
Well there ain't no time to wonder why,
Whoopee! we're all gonna die.

Syria fires upon neighbours Turkey and Lebanon

President Bashar al-Assad's forces launched border assaults on neighbouring countries yesterday, stoking fears that the conflict will spread as a UN-brokered ceasefire lies in tatters.

The Syrian army fired into Turkey and Lebanon during one of the bloodiest days of violence for months in which 130 were reported dead across Syria. The unrelenting bombardments further diminished hopes for the peace plan proposed by the UN-Arab League envoy Kofi Annan, under which the Syrian government would withdraw its troops from towns by 6am this morning, and cease firing within 48 hours.

Iran is unhappy again, this time over affairs of Baku that have nothing in relation to Tehran. Azerbaijani Ambassador to Iran Javanshir Akhundov was summoned to the Iranian Foreign Ministry on Tuesday, IRNA reports. He met Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Arakchi and requested explanations to media reports stating that Azerbaijan plans to purchase Israeli military equipment worth over $1.5 billion.

For now, 2012 has been marked by the Syrian and Iranian crises. The positions of Moscow and Beijing on these two issues on the one hand and Washington and its allies on the other are completely opposite. Azerbaijan became a UN Security Council member at the time when the rift between the world’s powers is growing: the international community discusses the possibility of military intervention in Syria, of air strikes against Iran, harder sanctions are being imposed on the Islamic Republic and the talks on the Euro missile-defense system have hit another dead end. And right on the eve of Lavrov’s visit to Baku it became clear that the Russian and Azerbaijani positions on Syria do not coincide: Russia boycotted the ‘Friends of Syria’ Forum that took place on April 1st in Istanbul, while Azerbaijan participated in it.
