I agree with you somewhat. But not all things are as they seem.

I am skeptic, so, if you say they are all good, or all bad, I will try and put my own experiences into the mix to try and discern which is which. In other words, I will not rely on others to tell me what my experiences were. You are doing the same thing you are claiming they do if you practice that.

Relationships can be much more dynamic than black or white. If fact, they always are.
