The blasted eternal questions - The answers really arenīt the mystery they make them out to be.
Question 1
Why are we here?

Well because this is where God chose to put us. Had he put us on Mars can you imagine how think our skin would need to be? Can you imagin how hairy we would need to be? Itīs cold on Mars and man would have necessarily have to have been made differently. Goes to show just how smart God relly is. What are the odds that all of the required things for our planet would be compatable with Mars? None i=is the obvious answer.

Question 2
What is our purpose?
Simply to become the sons of God. That is the gift God offers and the goal, lofty as it really is, that real christians strive for(or at least should).

Question 3
Where are we going? (similar to asking what awaits us at the end)

Some of us are going to make it and be accepted into the family of God. Most of us are not. Those of us that are not going to make it have non-existance to look forward to. No people God does not have this mythical place where people go to suffer for some endless time span. That is a construct of the catholics and used by all christian or catholic based religions to "scare" people into line with God. Of course you eed to know that the reason they use that tactic is not monetary as it may first appear. The tru reason why is because the bible is repleat with example of how bad things happen ot earthlings when they turn from Gods law and embrae sin. They simply wish to avoid the judgement or wrath of God while we are all still here. Noble but misguided all the same.

I could show all of this in scripture but rather than make a sermon out of it I will just leave those questions and my answers. If you want give your take on the answers to those blasted eternal questions that secularists will never even get close to answering.

Sin is breaking Gods law. Not doing things that other have told you are wrong or sins. The wages of sin is death ad you can see clearly that death is the end of all things, currently. But, what is Gods law? Is it all that stuff in Deuteronomy about what to eat and ot eat and who to marry and who to not marry?

Yes and no. Yes that is the Mosaic law but it is not Godīs law. We can eat pork and shell-fish and not be breaking Gods law.

To break Godīs law you have to not love your neighbor as you love yourself. Think real hard about that.

Now tell me, do youknow anyone personally that truly loves others as they love themself?

I didnīt think so. Go and sin no more.

Re: The blasted eternal questions - The answers really arenīt the mystery they make them out to be.
you are saying some truth and some "not-at-all" truth here. Different places for different people according to what they have done in their life is totally biblical and extra-biblical (apocrypha). mosaic Law was given to the Israel of that times as a "government" to ensure the good of all the community members, to ensure the continuity of the comunity and to protect it against the attacks of the enemies. It was the perfect government. Of course things have changed today because we are no longer in that comunity because we failed to put into practice all the precepts of the Mosaic Law. However we should know what of that precepts still can be observed today, and the foods is one of the things that should be observed, because it is an abomination to eat certain classes of animals according to what God has created and has given for food to men. Noah knew the difference between pure and impure animals. Regarding matrimony we are now so mixed with other nations, this is one of the things that have changed, however you should think very carefully who to marry and who not.

Hmm, Where does that come from? Oh yeah thtīs it, prejudices.

Why did God tell the Isrealites not to inter marry wiht other people from other places? He did not tell them they couldnīt mix races. He did so to keep them from turning from truth and adopting the false god beliefs of all the other nations around them. Technically this is still just as true. A hindu and christian can not successfully marry. Thier belief differences will stand in the way of their relationship one way or the other. The end reult is both sides begin to compromise their beliefs.

God knew how this works and told them that under no terms are they to bring those false god believers into their families as the end is the end of their families since they would begin to turn from the truth and eventually their entire family would be in the wrong.

Yea, the biblical texts do paint a picture of both punishment and rewards differences. In such a way that we can see that some who are rewarded are rewarded in better ways than others and some who are punished are punished in differet ways from others.

But you have to be careful in this area because there are many who have taught that Danteīs hell is truth or that at least the varying levels of hell are the truth.

The one thing about our end that the bible does not say is that the punishment is suffering eternally. I know that goes against everything youīve been taught and you probably canīt accept it. Hereīs the deal. What is death as defined by the bible?

The bible describes death as going into a state of non-existance. Your spirit leaves the body (some, myself included, believe the spirit returns to God), the body decays and the soul sleeps awaiting the resurrection. All connection to this world is lost. One does not have an option to stay and play ghost or haunt the living. One loses all access to this world immediately and permantently.

And so, if as the bible describes, death is a state of non-existance (and it does), then what about the second death spoken of in Revelation?

The second death is not technically non-ecxistance it IS non-existance. Even if you consider being thrown alive into a lake of fire you become non-existant.

What one property does fire have over all other elements? It consumes just about all others or it can consume them. Why does the church teach that human flesh will be made to burn for all eternity?

If youīre strugling with this then I challenge you to find out what the bible really means when the English terms describing endless time are used - and how they are used in the context in which they are used.

If you approach that without preconceived notions of what youīll find what you will discover is that in pretty much all cases the actual time span is only from beginning to end or for the completion of something. Johna got out of the whale and proclaimed that he was forever in the belly of the whale. Ok, granted it probably felt like an awful long time - 3 days, but the truth is he was only there for three days not for forever. But most uses of "forever" eterity, eternal, etc are used in the same manner.

The most important observation about eternity in the lake of fire as opposed to the non-existant state I proclaimed is the question of eternal life. Do those who are sons of God get eternal life AS WELL AS THOSE WH ARE NOT? What that means is if anyone is tortured for endless time then thy have to exist and or be alive for it to be possible. Therefore under the false teaching that some get to suffer for all of time and beyond provides eternal life for both sides. Not biblical at all.
