If someone was following me on foot i would turn to them and confront them. I would question their motive and then move on. If they followed me again i would call the cops or get to a safe place and after awhile if the perp didn't leave i would call the cops. My point is that it could be peaceful, whether the perp had a gun or not. HOWEVER, i would NOT yell at the perp, i would not charge the perp, i would not THREATEN the perp, and ESPECIALLY if that perp had shown a gun BEFORE or even DURING the confrontation. When you read that i hope you really stress the capped words because someone with a gun who thinks you are some gangster isn't going to let you get close to them before pulling out the gun, which leads ME to suspect that Trayvon's confrontation of Zimmerman was heated and probably "wild" - for lack of a better term.

You don't live in my neighborhood, and I doubt that you know what you are talking about. I was walking in my neighborhood on my way home, when a car full of young black males slowed down and threw an ice-pick at my head. It missed my head by inches. It bounced off a building on to the sidewalk, so I ran and picked it up. They sped away, but I had no idea who they were. If you have first-hand experience with black-on-white violence (unprovoked) then I accept your answer. If you haven't...then shut your mouth.
