Funny, but oh so true. Everytime we have a big "event" like today, everyone just turns on whatever form of distraction they enjoy most. Think about this for a second. The word "entertainment" means to distract. What is it that we need to be distracted from on an almost 24 hour a day basis? Only TPTB know. And the more crazy the world gets, the more forms of "entertainment" that TPTB roll out. music, specially rock music, is something I have around all the time. I listen to it, and study music, musicans, and music history. But I understand what you mean. I see the young (and some older) people walking around with their big, smart phones, and they don't even hide them in their bags or pockets anymore. I work in hospitality, and many times during big functions, it's not only the young people I see stuck on fb, but older people too. distraction is good, as a tool for a mum of young kids ; ) a lot of people (not on glp, we do this) don't look, remember, and try to work it out or connect the dots. Most people are distracted by the latest gossip,movie, or app, or whateVer they throw to distract. wondering, always watching ; ) stay safe. |
