Anonymous Coward User ID: 14263456 United States 04/12/2012 05:52 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | REPORTER: As an ex-TEPCO employee who handled the nuclear fuel rods and have worked at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant, [Toshio] Kimura is most worried about the recriticality. KIMURA: The fuel rods are still active and alive. Rather than putting more effort in cooling the fuel rods right now, a contingency plan, in case of a recriticality, must be considered. They should have prepared the plan before they started to work on cooling the fuel rods. I think it’s a matter of urgency. REPORTER: Kimura thinks that there is still a risk of melted fuel rods to become active. Living far away from Fukushima, he still worries about the fuel rods in the reactors to this day HOST #1: Here is the reporter Matsuda. Mr Matsuda, Mr Kimura is the actual person who operated the reactor, isn’t he? He gave me a startle when he said that the inside of the reactors are still alive. REPORTER: It seems that they don’t know exactly what is happening inside the reactors. Most of his concerns were, an importance of maintaining the non-recriticality state and observation of any recriticality signs. Tepco explains that they are watching the signs of recriticalilty by observing the change of temperature and pressure levels. In fact, Mr Kimura called the main office of TEPCO in October and he told them that they should measure, interference evaluation as a guideline, the neutron emission rate near the reactor core. The govt is aiming to bring the reactor temperature down within this year (2011). But Mr Kimura said that unless TEPCO measures the neutron emission rate, reassurance offered by the government is nothing but the word [...] HOST #2: I got goosebumps from the warning he made about the danger of tsunami and nuclear power station. I think he had an extremely accurate foresight and predicted the danger of the accident. I am so shocked. [link to enenews.com] [link to video.godlikeproductions.com] |

Do your Homework, disgusting Baka-Shills! The point is we are FINALLY hearing a first hand account from a man who was onstite. It's called the truth??? lol Do your homework, Mr. BreShill. But the first think you learn when you like/ are involved in this Topic is that it need Years to cool down, Heat is the result of Fusion/ Fission! And this Guy claimed he worked for Tepco ergo he is a "Coward" like the People who still work in Daiichi, Baka-Shill, be Radical or be a Pseudo like so many other, there is nothing in between! Anonymous Coward User ID: 11963746 United States 04/12/2012 08:05 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I work for a small (as in size of the reactor) nuclear reactor design company. We have people assigned to monitor everything going on in Japan with this disaster. That is their sole job. The opinion is that Chernobyl was much worse, by many times. By the way, the leads on the engineering team from GE that designed those Japanese reactors all resigned when they found out where the reactors were going to be positioned (in a tsunami zone and on a fault line) and would be relying on the cheap backup power via land lines to the plants. So.... GE designed it, but Tempco decided, against GEs advice, to save a lot of money over safety. Nuclear reactors are safe and the new designs with the passive safety measures built in guarantee no melt downs. That is not to say they can't suffer from "worse case sinarios", but the results would be minor compared to what is happening in Japan and certainly what happened in Chernobyl. Coal burning gives off much more radiation each year than what has and is expected be be given off by the crippled Japanese reactors. Chernoybl is just bad. Nothing compares to it.... hopefully nothing will. |

Just YOU WAIT UNTIL REACTOR BUILDING #4 completely collapses, causing the fuel rods to be exposed immediately bursting into flames and then sending massive amount of radioactive poison up into the atmosphere. Ask Arnie Gunderson what his biggest fear is about FUCK-US-ALL-SHema -- It is precisely this and the other two severely damaged reactors, #1 and #3.
