Sore Throat remedies

Well...you slice up some onion and place in a bowl and cover in brown sugar and leave until a juice has formed, then you drink the juice.

i had a sore throat this morning and made a tea of ginger lemon honey and a quarter tea spoon of cayenne.
it made me feel 100% better. it tastes pretty good too.

thyme infusion + honey + lemon = horrible but efficient.

plus the cayenne will not only numb the throat but along with the ginger will help get rid of a fever

Gargle with warm salt water as needed. Works every time.

Thanks All...the hubby cant have anything spicey due to his ulcers and acid reflux...so Cayenne Pepper is out. Keep em coming though, something has to work.

Manuka honey. Eat a spoonful and do not drink or eat anything for 30 minutes.

if not food grade then be sure to not swallow

Salts and vinegars will kill the bacteria and honey will sooth the throat. I would eat a lemon or lemon juice mixed with a lot of salt, hot pickles are good to! I personally like cucumbers soaked in lemon juice with salt!

Manuka honey is also anti-bacterial

everytime i feel something coming on i put a few drops in water drink it down, 2 hours later free as free

This is what I do also. Gargle every hour or two.

If drainage is causing the sore throat, take benydril or a decongestant to stop the drainage.

Take several grams of Vit C.

this- and also gargle with some hydrogen peroxide mixed with water. I've been doing this for a cold and sore throat I have and it's helping. Don't mix the salt water with the hydrogen peroxide thought.

for a pain killer take Ibuprofen. It reduces swelling in the throat and sinuses.

eat a cup of raw peas.

warm salt water is great, the bacteria are sensitive to salt......best if you do it often

Should not use anything BUT FOOD GRADE peroxide. Regular peroxide has stabilizers and should not be consumed. Even if you don't plan on swallowing. Lol. That's what she said...

Make sure to dilute the food grade perixide to 3 percent if it is 35 percent peroxide. "The one minute cure" by Madison Cavanagh book peroxide info.
