Fukushima: Reactor 4 Emergency in 10 hours?????

The buildings housing the fuel rods are in bad shape and the constant earthquakes in the area could cause a collapse. If that would happen and it could then there would be no cooling at all and the radiation would go straight into the atmosphere for many years. How long does radiation float in the atmosphere?

It's more likely a matter of time, not if, SFP at 4 goes dry and ignites. When that happens, I predict that folks will realize that there is nothing left to lose, and act accordingly.

I for one am darn glad that our morale and intellectual superiors have had the foresight to equip themselves with safe places, with hollow point ammunition, with bullet-proof kiosks, with executive orders permitting domestic military activity - all of which is designed to keep me safe!

Heat exchange pumps for unit 4 SFP were restarted at 3AM local time and the temperature of the SFP is 37 Deg. C. and falling. Go back to sleep.

Disclaimer: I am not discounting the sheer horror of this disaster nor am I acting as if it is incredulous that the building listing as it is, could collapse at any time from any further geo-tectonic/magmatic activity. I'm merely suggesting that everyone can calm the fuck down. Doom is off at this particular point.

yes. the issue with all the reactor buildings is
the damaged "spent fuel ponds" and the problem of
no water, broken rod casings, and the fuel rods
being close enough together to cause "critical fission reactions", which generate more nasty radio-isotopes.

Note: reactor buildings #5 and #6 may also be seriously
damage, and TEPCO has never admitted to it.
also, the "Spent Fuel Storage" building, across the
road from Reactor Bdg. #3, may also be damaged.

Super Doom, cause it's Friday the 13th!
