If you're talking about the white shapes at upper left - that's just lens flare.

Note that the coma 'tails' are pointing towards the direction where the Sun is not far out of shot.

Yes, lens flare BUT, keep going with this. Take hundreds, keep checking!!! You WILL find what you're looking for!!!

I know that the photos of the sun have lens flares, I just pointed the camera at the sun and clicked, but the two photos of the blank blue sky overhead, does anyone see a "comet like " object near the upper left and a "planet like" object in the lower right ?



I posted all the photos so we could see if it is an anomaly with the camera ......there really wasn't anything to take a picture of, but I will take more everytime I go out and see "what develops"

I know hardly anything about photography, but I will explain where I was standing in relation to the sun .....
I was standing facing the West and I just aimed my camera overhead and snapped 2 photos of a clear blue sky. The sun was in the direction of slightly behind my Left shoulder, so that would be south? The little comet looking thing, in this case is moving away from where the sun was ?
So the planet looking thing in the lower left was slightly behind my Right shoulder, so is it a ghost image of the sun?

Yes - that's what I was talking about a few posts back.

Two dead giveaways for lens flare:
If it points at a bright light source, it's almost certainly 'flare'
If it appears between a bright light and the centre of the frame - OR directly across the centre of the frame from a bright light source - it's almost certainly a 'flare'

Keep shooting pics though - you never know when you'll capture something interesting.

Yes, most likely - especially as there are definite flares in the same pic, and in other pice taken around the same time with the same camera.

I'm not much of a photo-taker myself either - but being a VERY keen amateur astronomer I do know about optics in general.
In fact, amateur astronomers regularly induce optical aberrations deliberately as a means of testing their optical systems, and I've seen all sorts of optical aberrations over the years, so can now spot them quite easily.

I have been seeing white flashes of lights shooting across the Sun for months or since I started watching. I see them in the Winter when I know bugs are not in the air as well as now. Lou Baldin aka Sleeper who is friends with John Lear has videos he shot showing these white objects that zoom across the Sun.

Holy crap there is alot!!!!

In January, I looked out my front door and saw what looked like a "genie" in the distance ....I grabbed my camera and took 3 photos, then it disappeared !
